I was told that I was knocked out for 24 hours before I woke up. The physical pain was gone but the mental pain was still there... the trauma. It had been hours since I first woke up and since then I've woken up a few times just to cry.
"Hey." I lifted my head to see Scorch.
"Sc-scorch.”
"Don't hurt yourself." I looked to the corner of the room where my mother and brother were. “You look better, sorry I had to leave.” From what I could tell he stayed with me the whole time. “Since Jenny and Kellin were released, I thought it’d be fine to slip out for a little.” He put a bag of food next to me. “All three of you have been in the Queen’s care.”
