The Encounter

160 Words
Five boys with everything in common are forced to come together at a roadside school because of a common goal . They place their orders with the diner's omniscient owner, who seems to know everything about them.  Back in their mind they were waiting for a pupil to leave school and see if everything is well with him. You will ask yourself why was this so, when the police were approaching that morning one of the boys who had a gun tucked in his pants dropped it inside Dan's school bag. Dan on his side noticed  it while getting a book from his bag. He kept mum about the whole thing. Deep inside him he felt some sort of power and a lot of satisfaction having the gun with him.  Finally the long wait was over when the  last school bell was rang and  all the kids left for home.  The sight of Dan send his "friends" to mixed reactions.
