As I'm making my way down the stairs to have breakfast and head to the office. Mario enters the house. And he is all chirpy and "smiley", so early in the morning. I hope he has good news for me.
He walks in with his arms wide open and a big smile. Good morning, my dear friend, he says. He is loud and happy. I just roll my eyes at his presence , I know him being so energetic will just annoy the s**t out of me today. We have been friends for 20 years and his energetic and happy aura just really gets to me sometimes. How can one be just so energetic all the time?
I hope you have good news for me, i tell him and give him a warning look.
oh dear old friend, wanna tell me why you so grumpy early in the morning, he asks. I sigh heavily and just wait for him to give me some good news.
I haven't found her yet, he answers. Than why are you happy, I ask.
Well, since you asked. Life is good, I had s*x and champagne last night. And not any regular s*x. That was I beautiful f**k session, my friend.
We are in the dining area, and Mario pops a grape in his mouth and just as I'm about to take my seat, he quickly takes my seat and starts helping himself out with my plate.
Just as I'm about to take Mario by the collar, Jered walks in.
Master Mario, its good to see you again, he says.
How ar you Jered, Mario greets.
I'm splendid.
Jered places a plate on the table and pulls the chair out for me.
I'm very much capable Jered, I tell him.
So you say, master Ariuz. I just mimick his words and scrunch my face.
Mario laughs and rats me out. His making faces, he says.
Snnitch, I hiss at him. Behave boys, Jered jumps in. We are men, we both shout.
One would think differently looking at your behaviour, says Jered.
Mario and I both laugh at Jered's attempt, to still discipline us. He always puts us into check, no matter how old we are.
I respect that about him and so much more. He is always making sure we being "good boys". I just wish he would stop addressing me as master. I have tried over the years to get to stop but with no luck. At this point, I see him as my father. No need for formalities.
Once Mario and I finished breakfast, we moved to my office to discuss "witch" matters.
I'm seated at my table and Mario is seating across me on the other side of the table. before i could say anything, Mario burst out and says, she lives in the city. I notice he has a serious look and his body is stiff. indicating that now, the man talking is now my chief of security and my weapon and combat specialists. Now, it's time to listen attentively.
I talked to a witch, who lives out in the country. Five years ago, your witch was kidnapped by a spell seeker named Red. she did some dirty work for him for 3 years than managed to escape. He had her wear a dual sapphire crystal around her neck , made sure she didn't run away. The Sapphire crystal gave Red the power to control her... she did low level sorcery for him not to attract attention. I dont think, he knows the extent of her powers.My team is looking for him as we speak. Before Red, there was also another spell seeker. That actually makes me nervous, cos if spell seekers are after her, I'm sure the two immortal freaks are looking for her too.
I sat there, listening closely to what my friend was saying. I'm annoyed that we haven't found her yet though. Do we have her name or picture, I ask.
Mario gives me a mischievous smile and leans on the desk and places both his forearms on my table, clasping his hands together. Yes, he says.
I raise an eyebrow, waiting for him to share more.
He leans back into the chair and takes his phone out. He turns the screen towards me.
Meet, Navitta the White witch, says with a smirk.
I see The most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She has long dark raven hair, blue eyes and caramel and shiny skin. I find her black hair weird, white witches are born with white hair. Maybe she colours her hair black. Her hair looks so silky and soft, I wouldn't mind having hands run through her hair. I'm deep in my thoughts and Mario brings me back to reality with his laugh.
Wow, that's the first time a woman has left you speechless, he says.
Jared says no amount of medication and technology can help me. So her presence is a necessity, i simply state.
I take out a medicine bottle from my drawer and walk over to my office fridge. I open the fridge and reach for a bottle of water and I take my medication.
There was a silence in the room. I guess we are both hit by the possibility that I might die. If I dont find the white witch and the ring.
Mario's phone rings, he quickly takes the call. Where, he asks. Good work, thanks, he finishes of the call.
He looks up at me and says, we found Red. Where, I ask. Between Riverside and Hailwalk, he replays.
Let's go, I say.
He gets heads for the door. And I make my way to my secret room within my office. I walk towards the wall length book case. I place my hand on one of the neatly placed books and a door pops up open. I walk into the blue LED light lit room. The room is filled with so many different weapons. But my favourite is my sword.
It is one handed and 31 inches long. However I wont be needing her today. I grab my twin blades. They are about 9 inches long and made from Russian steel. I grab a few round throwing blade and my pocket plade.
I walk out of the house and see Mario all suited up with his guns.
We step out of the front door and make our way to the Escalade waiting for us
It's time to find her.
