I could have woken up the sound of running water because of Nyx but today was different.
She was not around.
She had left this morning even before I could

After she went down to the kitchen the day before, she had a sour expression that made me ask her what had happened more than three times.
But she only said she was fine again and again.
If she wasn't fine, she would not have left early this morning.
