Selene's pov
When I got back to my chambers, Nyx was sitting right in front of the dressing mirror.
But I was not sure she was waiting for me.
She had earlier said she would rather kill herself than sleep in the servant's quarters. So I had no choice but to let her sleep here.
But I'd expected her to asleep and not try out any hairpins one by one
“Thea was here, although I can guess that she went looking for you,” she said softly
I didn't realize she had already known I had entered the room.
“I know I saw her”
I replied
“Of course, it's not like she would leave without seeing you” She paused and then flashed the crystallised pear-shaped pin she wore on her hair at the mirror.
