The Howling (Part 3)

Riftan's face was gloomed, there was sweat all over his body.

“What happened?”

“It’s the rising red sun right now.”

Rylan was surprised by Riftan's declaration. “Hell! I thought it would be coming on the second month of the red sun?”

“Not this year, the rising has already begun.”

“Hell, this is going to be a tough journey.” Grumbled me.

Rafe once again raised his hand. “Excuse me, what’s a rising red sun?”

All of us looked at him with an open mouths.

“Did you just come in here from the human realm?” Asked Riftan.

“No, I came here from… Okay, I need to tell all of you something. I came from the Arbediin border to the Humatora.”

“What? so, you’re the citizens of the Arbediin kingdom?! Praise Heaven.”

My enthusiasm is on another high, I admire the Malyka of Arbediin, a long hair with the royal purple, the kingdom prosper in the hands of the true royal, she fought her cruel twin brother to secure the throne, and with his four loving and devoted mates, bring the Arbediin into its glory once again.

Rafe winces at me. “Gosh, you seem so enthusiastic about Arbediin.”

“Yes, Aliena Malyka, right? A graceful long purple hair royal, she is amazing!”

“Yes, it is Aliena Malyka, but to say that she is graceful, hmm…”

“What? you saw her?! Where?!” I asked Rafe once again.

Rafe flinched and answered me nervously. “Err… yes, I saw her at one of the festivals, but that’s it.”

Riftan squinted at Rafe. “Are you sure? You seem to know her more than just seeing her at some festival.”

“Sigh… Believe all you want, okay?”

“Fine, By the way, where’s the spring? I need to bathe, thanks the heaven we have it here.”

Rylan is in the middle of unpacking the bag, but he pointed at one of the wide holes in the corner. “Go down from the hole, there will be spring, they even have some grass field.”

“Alright, I’ll go right now, don’t go outside, it will burn so much.”

Riftan goes inside the spring, and then Rafe looks at Rylan and me. “Okay, what is the rising red sun?”

Rylan and I look at each other and felt how sweet Rafe looked right now, his innocence is refreshing for us. Rylan then said. “The rising red sun is when the sun becomes so much hotter than the usual, it is the phenomenon that happens only on the day of the red sun.”

“Oh, so it is the opposite of the Descend Blue moon? Where on the night time of the blue moon, the temperature will drop and even give us snow.”

“Yes, exactly, It’s happened only on the red sun and the blue moon.”

“Okay, I get it now, thanks guys, huh! Eat that Xavier, I know something about the elven realm, now!”

I chuckle at him. “Xavier? Who is he?”

“Oh, a friend of mine, a Vampyr on the Arbediin.”

“Oh, I would love to meet your friend, Rafe.”

Rafe's eyes widen, and he is becoming excited. “Oh, we should! Maybe there’s a tomb of your father, there.”

“The High Vampyr tomb is everywhere, but the oracle already told me, my father is inside Humatora kingdom.” I cupped his face and gave him a peck on his lips, “Maybe later, when we are finally meet my father, alright?” I walk away from Rylan and Rafe, and took one of the new tunics, “I’m going for a bath, it was so hot and humid right now.”

I’m not waiting for their answer, I just walk into the hole, and what I saw is a paradise on its own.

“Oh, heavens! It is so beautiful.”

The spring is a small pond, with clear blue water, water lilies surrounding the ground, and the light mushrooms of every color, latched on the wall, making the hidden spring like a sanctuary from the outside rising red sun.

“Sabine? Is that you?”

“No, another werewolf, who’s going to ambush you, of course, it is me.”

I heard a splash and there I saw Riftan, swimming towards me. He leans his hands on the edge of the spring. “What are you doing here?”

“To bath, what else?”

He grinned wickedly. “Well, I thought you wanted to do something more than just a normal bath.”

“Perhaps, if I’m in a good mood.”

“Should I make you into a good mood?”

I smiled at him, while my hand let off all of my clothes, standing naked in front of him, I can see he is admiring the view from below. He holds my hand when I go down to the spring water, the water is fresh and of course, cleaner than I have expected.

“So, do you feel it?” Whispered Riftan onto my left ear, he was holding me from behind.

“No, not yet, I thought you already aroused?”

Riftan’s chuckled. “No, what I mean, the healing effect of this spring, all of the heat from outside is dissipated immediately, we were lucky to be found one of these springs.”

“Oh, I… I thought you were talking about…” I told Riftan with a blush on my face.

“What? do you really want it?”

“Want it? About what?”
