Chapter 21 Being back in the saddle was something Neil had always enjoyed, not to the extent that Jed and Andy did, and even Brad was more of a country boy than he’d ever be, but he’d climbed in the saddle less and less lately. It was almost a two-hour ride to the perimeter of where the ranch house was located and the five hundred cattle grazed in a fenced-off area behind it. They could have driven around and gotten there much sooner, but there was something about riding across the range, here, sandy in parts, grassy in some, and now bare, dry land with the blazing hot sun above.
