Chapter 43 Lina’s sharp click of her heels on the marble floor of the twelfth floor stopped abruptly as she passed the reception area. Shelly’s usual spot was empty, and the bullpen was silent. She only took three steps into the main office before Philip’s voice, a tense whisper behind her, halted her completely. “Lina, look.” Lina turned, narrowing her eyes in anticipation of a reporter or a process server who had slipped past the chaos downstairs.
