The next morning, she had no choice but to ride in the same car with Jeffrey to school. Throughout the journey, she tried to remain silent, but suddenly, just a few minutes before reaching the school, the stern-faced man asked,
“You know you’re staying over at my place tonight, right?”
“Uh...”
She blushed and turned to look at him, and he looked back at her, making her feel like she was burning up, her heart pounding uncontrollably.
“You're blushing. Are you excited?”
“N-no, I'm not.”
Regaining her composure, she turned away, just as the car came to a stop in front of the school. Her small hand quickly searched for the door handle, but before she could step out, her arm was grabbed.
“Let's walk in together.”
“N-no, it's okay.”
“Why not?”
