"Lottie..."
Jeffrey called out to her when they accidentally crossed paths at school, but she couldn't muster the strength to talk to him without breaking down in tears.
So she decided to walk away...
Tears rolled down her cheeks, but she quickly wiped them away before stepping into the teachers' lounge.
"Lottie, did you have a fight with Mr. Jeffrey?" Beatrice ran up to ask.
"We didn't fight," she replied in a soft voice, keeping her head down as she picked up the class schedule to look at it. But Beatrice wouldn't let it go.
"But I just saw Mr. Jeffrey walking by with a serious face. I bet you had a fight with him, Lottie."
Lottie tried to hide her pain, but she couldn't for long.
"Bea, can you please stop asking me like this?"
