Rayne Damn. I’m screwed. Cracking my neck, I fired on the two biggest aliens first. My aim was true, and they fell face forward in the dirt. I threw the empty gun at the nearest alien and dashed behind the tree. Laser fire flew past me, and I slid down the tree ignoring the bark scraping my back. When the fire ceased, I held my breath listening to all the sounds around me to gauge their positions. “Come out female, Bainkre wants you alive. If you continue to fight me, I will kill you but not here, it will be in front of your sparkly friend,” he said.
