Rayne Pushing past Geneva, I rushed inside the house. My mouth fell open as a scent of salty ocean breeze filled my nostrils. The floors were made of a tan and checked marble-like stone. The walls were a shiny taupe color. A massive crescent-shaped cream and gold chandelier hung in the center of the room. There was a black and gold winding staircase leading upstairs. This house was four times the size of mansions back on Earth. It warmed my heart that King Jadark had relocated Zyaire’s family to the area where the imperial forces resided. “You have a lovely home.” Turning, I felt Zyaire wrap his arms around my shoulders. “It is adequate.” He looked around. Zyaire was staring at me. The heat sent tiny shivers dancing along my spine. His strong hands on my arms caused my stomach to flip.
