Seeing her lifeless, I felt my body was reverberating, my heart was beating so fast I could feel it racing, and not knowing how to explain the situation, I felt my body tremble, many thoughts running through my mind. I could no longer hide the pain anymore. I swallowed a deep breath, an unknown strength surging within me, and I turned to Rhain, who was close to her, his eyes seemingly dangerous. I lunged at him, not wanting anything to happen to my mate, especially the way I noticed she was lifeless.
"Don't you dare touch her!"
Before I could reach him, I felt my body suddenly weaken, my heart pounding faster, and my legs turning to jelly. I turned back only to see a young lady who had managed to pierce a syringe into my back. I didn't feel the pain, but I felt the impact.
