We managed to create a tent because it was already dark and we were on the deep side of the forest; the cold night could be seen, the sounds of the birds chirping, and the tiny rodents scurrying their feet through the thick and dense forest. I let out a deep yawn as I tried sleeping, but the thought of her safety lingered; I couldn't sleep. I was waiting for her to arrive from where she had gone after informing me that she would need some alone time.
I understand her plight; that was why I had to let her go in the meantime, but there was that uneasiness irking in my being and forcing me to climb out of bed and go to check on her.
