Nova's POV

I was throwing my last shirt in one of my two duffle bags when a loud knock resonated through the house before I could get to my door it was flung open by Beck with his parents right behind him with panicked looks on their faves. "We have to go now nova have you packed everything you want and need" beck asked calmly despite the panicked look on his face. I started to nod "wait I got to grab the photo-" I was caught off by a louder more impatient knock at the front door. "Come on nova grab the photo album I'll get your bags" Beck says as he's picking up my bag. I run to the closet and grab my photo album and box of memories. "I got it where are we going to go though" I ask as I'm walking out. "Ill be able to tell you along the way just not here at the house follow me" Beck says as he's grabbing my hand and heading down the stairs quietly behind his parents. I go to say something but beck turns his head and presses his finger to lips telling me to be quiet. Lily and Trevor hug both beck and I right as a huge bang hits the door making everyone but Trevor jump. "Take her through the tunnels son me and your mom will contact you as soon as it is possible here take this new phone" he whispers as he pulls it out his pocket and hands it over to beck. "Only me and your mom knows the number give us at least 2 months to contact you before you panic now y'all go me and your mom love y'all and we will be ok I promise." I'm trying to hold back the tears and sobs this is just way too familiar to me I pull everyone in to one last hug before beck is dragging me down the stairs to the basement before the thought 'we have tunnels' hits me. "Beck what did your dad mean by tunnels" I ask in a hushed voice. "You'll see in just a second" Beck says just as a piece of the wall silently slides open to reveal a dark tunnel in front of us. I stare at the now gaping hole in the wall leading to where only beck and his parents know as beck grabs my free hand with his pulling me into the tunnel. "How long have y'all had this tunnel hidden for beck and what about some light I don't have night vision like you do" I ask and state as the wall is closing behind us while we go further down the now pitch black tunnel I can't even see the ground below me. "It's fine I will lead you just keep hold of my hand and you'll be fine and as for the tunnels we got them built three and a half years ago not long after you came to stay with us in case something like this happened" he states as though it's no big deal while I'm silently freaking out in my head. 'ok then that's not concerning at all' I think to myself. "Wait where the hell are we going to go now" I ask with concern and confusion on what to do now that we are leaving the house I've began to call home. "I can't tell you until we get out of here nova trust me I really wish I could but it's safer this way for all of us" Beck says with sorrow in his unsteady voice if I could see his face I'm pretty sure id see tears streaming down his cheeks with the way he just talked to me. We walk through the tunnels ,with a sad silence between us, for what seems like 2 hours before we come to a door. Beck cracks the door just enough to look around to see if anyone is out there before he pushes it all the way open and says "come on we probably don't have long if they find out we ain't in school and start searching for us." "Who are they beck why can't anyone let me know anything like where we are going or who's after me and s**t like that" I ask as I'm being pulled along by a frantic beck constantly looking around. "Honestly nova I'm not even sure who they are mom and dad just told me to keep you safe from them, like they'd even have to ask me to keep you safe" he said the last part under his breath thinking I wouldn't hear what he said. We continue along until we come up to the airport about 10 miles from the house "beck don't tell me that we are getting on a plane you know how I feel about planes" I say with a little panic in my voice. "Shh nova I'd never make you get on a plane trust me I know how terrified you are of them" he says as he pulls us up to the ticket desk. "Two for BMA please" beck asks the attendant at the desk. "Code" the attendant asks. "Whiskey tango foxtrot" Beck says seemingly ecstatic over those three words. The attendant just shakes his head at beck with a slight smile before he says "come on follow me this way" as he puts a gone to lunch sign on his desk. I look at beck utterly confused as we follow the attendant. Beck just looks back at me with a finger to his lips turning back around right before the attendant opens a door. "Right through here I'm sure you two know how to use this mode of transportation correct" the attendant says as me and beck goes through the door. Beck just nods at the attendant before he shuts the door behind us. "Ok nova we are going to go through a portal you go through first, then I'm going to throw the bags through I need you to move them before I come through so I don't land on them or you" he explains to me while pushing some buttons on the wall before a shimmering wavy hole thing appears in the wall to the right of me. I snatch my head to the "portal" in the wall looking at it in awe "this thing is so pretty hold on wait I have to go through this thing" I exclaim to beck. He just shrugs his shoulders "yeah it's not so bad go ahead and go through it I'll be right there after the bags I promise" he says right before he pushes me through. I scream right before I hit solid ground with my photo album and box of memories 'i swear Im gonna kill him when he comes through that damn portal' I think to myself and get up remembering the bags were supposed to come through. I pull my bags out the way leaving becks there so he lands on his own bag when he comes through I spin around taking in my surroundings and come to stop looking past the giant gates and walls surrounding a medieval looking castle with a slight modern touch to it as I hear an oof signaling beck came through and landed on his bag. I turn to face him him giggling while he stands up brushing himself off "nova I told you to move the bags so this didn't happen" he says with a pained voice. "Yeah well you also didn't tell me you were just gonna push me through either" I say through a fit of giggles. "Oh you're so gonna pay for that nova" he says with a playful voice right before he tackles me to the ground tickling me. "Ok ok ok beck enough I got your point I'm sorry" I manage to get out through all the laughter. Beck stops tickling and stands up thrusting a hand out to help me up as he says "good I'm glad that you got the point." I take his hand stand brushing myself off "ok so where are we now" I ask him as he's gathering up our stuff. "We are at Blue Moon Academy the safest place for us right now with everything going on" he say as he stands up with our bags, my box, and photo album. He walks up to me and grabs my hand "come on let's go meet the dean and get our rooming and schedules" he says as he leads us through the gate. 'Great another ducking school just as I escaped one I'm thrown right back into one' I think to myself while we head up to the seemingly deserted school.
