There will always be differences between fantasy and reality.
Many people pursue their dreams with the utmost vigor, only to find when they actually realize those dreams that they weren't everything they had been cracked up to be.
This is because the best parts of those dreams all stem from the human imagination itself.
I now truly understand the meaning behind that saying.
Diggers are able to eat well, dress warmly, have places to stay, and don't have to live in fear, right? That's what I once believed.
But upon actually entering the outpost I realized that excavators don't live easier lives than scavengers at all.
Each day, when I open my eyes, I celebrate the fact that I've survived yet another night.
No one has slit my throat while I was dreaming.
