On top of the pedestal, wearing just underwear and a bra, I waited calmly as Susan and Pablo engaged in yet another of their debates, each holding a model of a wedding dress they had chosen, now over which wedding dress I should try on. It was a sight I had become quite familiar with since we began planning the wedding. Their dynamic, and their contrasting personalities often clashed.
"A strapless mermaid style!" exclaimed Susan, her enthusiasm contagious.
Pablo countered immediately, "No, no, no! She should go for the princess dress with the voluminous skirt."
Susan's voice echoed through the bridal shop as she exclaimed, "Mermaid style, sweetheart neckline!"
Pablo wasn't one to back down easily. He enthusiastically retorted, "No, princess dress with a voluminous skirt!"
