I lead Sean down the winding path towards the gazebo, its white structure standing out against the lush green surroundings. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm glow over everything. It was a picturesque scene, but the tension between us made it feel like the calm before the storm. We walked in silence. The only sounds were the rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of birds.
