Melian (The last lykra)

CHAPTER ELEVEN: The Wolf

               Alfur appeared back to the clearing. He laid down the sheep he caught and looked around.

         “Where's Melian?"He questioned. 

        “She said she was going to look for woods to start a fire," Elva muttered. He narrowed his eyes on both of them.

       “And you let her go?!!" He thundered. Just then they heard a loud scream coming from the forest behind them. He turned to Elva.

       “Don't tell me she went there" Elva gulped before staring at him frantically.

      “She did," She murmured. Alfur's Aura turned sinister. He vanished into thin air before they could even speak.

           “Get away from me!!" Melian yelled at the wolf. She turned around and tried to run but the wolf just pounced on her and growled in her face. She quickly grabbed a wood beside her and tried to use it to push off the wolf but the wolf saw it as an attack and bit her arm. She screamed out in pain. As she screamed, she landed her palm on the wolf's chest. because of the pain she felt, she was unaware of the pain she was inflicting on the wolf. The wolf jumped off her and landed on the ground with a whimper. She grabbed her hand and applied pressure to the wound so as to stop the bleeding. When the wolf saw she was about to stand up, he sneered at her again and was about to pounce on her when Alfur appeared and used an invisible force to throw him away from her. The wolf flew backwards and hit it's back on a tree. As the wolf fell to the ground, it turned into a boy. Melian gasped and was about to walk towards him when Alfur appeared in front of her.

       “What the f**k are you doing out here?" He was fuming, that's for sure. Melian couldn't help but gulp.

      “I... I.. I came to look for woods" she stuttered. He narrowed his eyes at the injury on her arm.

       “Let's go," He said firmly. She shook her head and him before looking behind him and at the wolf boy.

       “We need to help him" Alfur stared at her in disbelief.

      “Are you insane Melian?He tried to kill you" She shook her head once more.

      “No, if he wanted to kill me he would have and besides I was the one who stepped into his territory in the first place" Alfur stared at her in shock.

     ‘This girl..' he thought.

      “You are a lykra Melian, you can't be going around showing everyone you meet on the way compassion. It would be used against you" He uttered. Melian sighed.

      “Well this is who I am and because of that I can't leave this boy out here all alone, I'm taking him back with us" She said firmly before moving towards the whimpering wolf. As soon as he saw her, he glared at her and growled. She flinched.

      “It seems my kind is not the only one that hates your kind," Alfur said from behind her. He moved towards the wolf boy who cowered at his presence. 

      “I'll carry him," He declared.

        Elva ran up to Melian as soon as she saw her.

      “Are you okay?Are you hurt?" Melian grimaced as She grabbed her arm. Elva narrowed her eyes at the injury on her arm.

     “Who did this?" She questioned. Melian shook her head.

      “Don't worry about it, I'm okay" She reassured. Just then, Alfur appeared with a boy on his shoulder. Elva and Damien stared at him in confusion.

      “Who is that?" Damien asked and Alfur threw the boy on the floor. The wolf boy turned to glare at Alfur but stayed quiet.

       “He's a wolf, he attacked Melian" Alfur said simply. Elva gasped.

      “You did what??!!" She was about to pounce on the wolf when Melian held her waist.

      “It's okay, I'm alright" Melian assured her.

      “Why did you attack her?" Alfur asked the wolf boy.

      “Because her kind destroyed my village, if I had the chance I would like to break her neck" The wolf boy said intently. Melian and Elva gasped while Damien scoffed.

      “Get in line, wolfy" He said. Melian rolled her eyes at him then turned to the wolf boy.

      “What's your name?" He growled at her.

      “And what makes you think I'll answer you?" He retorted. Before anyone could blink, Alfur was already holding the wolf boy by his neck.

     “Answer the damn question, we don't have all night" The wolf boy glared at him but did as was told, he wasn't foolish enough to defy Alfur, he could feel the power coming from him.

       “My name is Ace" He choked out. Alfur let go of his neck and he slumped to the ground. He held his neck before turning to glare at Alfur.

       “I see she has bewitched both of you. I heard what her kind did to yours and you guys are helping her?" Ace was really confused with the whole situation. If anything, the black gem elves are supposed to be the ones that hate Lykras the most.

      “I question his sanity too sometimes but I just have to follow along because he is known for never making wrong decisions." Damien said from behind. Alfur turned to Melian and Elva when he noticed they had been quiet for quite some time now.

    “You guys alright?" He asked them. Melian walked away and sat down on a cement block. Elva frowned at her walking figure before turning to the three boys in front of her.

      “You know what?, We had everything back in aneathra, we lived a happy live but because of how just Melian's heart is, she decided to risk her life just to break you guys'' she pointed at Damien and Alfur “ From your curse and to know the truth, she doesn't need you guys hatred right now. Let's find this damn book and never see each other again" she said firmly before walking over to Melian.
