Back in Aneathra....
Andria stood up from her bed and walked towards the window. She was feeling sad about the whole ordeal between her husband and daughter. She couldn't help but cry, she didn't like seeing them act towards each other this way. Davan sighed when he saw her crying, he walked towards her and hugged her from behind.
“Why are you crying now? Hmm?" He asked tenderly. Andria turned to face him
“ Can't you just forgive Melian?, I'm sure she has learnt her lesson" she pleaded with him. Davan stared at her a while before turning away from her.
“If we don't treat her the way she won't learn anything" Andria sniffled before walking towards him.
“At least let me give her some food, I'm sure she would be so hungry right now" Davan sighed before nodding slowly at her. She grinned at him before hurriedly leaving the room.
As soon as she was in front of Melian's room door, she couldn't help but feel something was wrong. She unlocked the door and walked right into it.
“Melian?" She called out for her, she looked around but saw no trace of Melian. As she was about to yell out Melian's name again, her eyes fell on a letter on Melian's dresser. She moved towards it and picked it up, she opened it slowly with shaky hands and read the content. Her eyes widened in shock.
“Davan!!!!!" She yelled out ...
Upon hearing his wife's scream, he ran faster than lightning towards Melian's room, he met Anna on the way who also heard Andria scream. Before they could enter the room, their gems began to glow. Anna looked at Davan while Davan just frowned before walking into the room. He found his wife wailing on the ground and instantly ran towards her, he knelt down beside her and hugged her while rubbing her back.
“Bring my daughter back Davan... Bring her back!!" She screamed in pain while Davan just comforted her in silence. He was sad as well but he had to be strong for his wife right now. Anna took the letter from Andria's hand and read it. She sighed.
“Curious little one"....
Andria fell asleep in Davan's arms. She had exhausted herself from all the crying, Davan picked her up and carried her towards their room. He laid her down on the bed and sat near her. He stared at her for a while before standing up and walking towards the window, he looked up at the sky, A tear rolled down from his eyes.
“So where are we going first?" Elva asked, Melian turned towards Alfur
“Yeah, where are we going first?" Before Alfur could talk, Damien jumped in.
“Yesterday, after what Alfur told me about meeting you and what you said to him, I went to the Oracle and consulted a seer. I made sure not to mention that you saw a lykra because you know...my people hate your kind" Alfur rolled his eyes.
“Get to the point," Damien nodded frantically.
“Right, she said we weren't the first to question what happened between our ancestors and the lykras, But that anyone who went on the journey never returned" Melian looked at him in confusion.
“Journey to where?" Damien turned to her.
“To find the book of ALETHEIA" Elva got even more confused.
“What does ALETHEIA mean?"
“It means the truth and it was written by the goddess herself" they all turned to Melian as she spoke.
“How do you know that?" Alfur questioned as he narrowed his eyes on her.
“I studied Elvian culture, what?... You think I would go on this journey without knowing every single detail?" She said rhetorically before walking towards Damien.
“How do we find the book?" She added.
Damien sighed “ she said it's In the cave of THANATOS"
“Which means?...." Elva asked.
“Death," Melian said simply.
“Wow...you really studied," Alfur said indifferently. Melian shrugged then turned to Damien.
“So how do we get there and how do we know which cave it is?" Elva looked at her with disbelief.
“The name of the cave is death and you still want to go?" Before Melian could say anything, Damien cut in.
“Well the seer said, only the righteous can enter the cave" Elva groaned.
“That means it's futile then, none of us are righteous," Elva declared. Damien and Alfur had a deadpan look on their faces but Melian remained optimistic.
“We can't give up here, there must be a reason it's inside that cave and why only the righteous can enter, don't you think?" They all thought about Melian's words for a while. Elva sighed.
“Ok let's say we get there, who is righteous among us?" Melian smiled at them.
“Let's find out shall we?" Elva groaned while Alfur and Damien stared at her impassively.
“So where do we go from here?" Melian asked alfur
“Just follow me, unlike you guys, we are actually free to go wherever we want" Melian glared at him. Elva gasped.
“That's true, I've never seen anyone leave aneathra except you and now.... Me..why?" Melian sighed in response.
“I have no clue, none of us do" she glared at Alfur as she said this but he just rolled his eyes at her. She turned back to Elva.
“And that's why this book needs to be found, we need to know the truth, let's go" Elva nodded at her before taking a hold of her hand, she nodded at Alfur and he led the way. Damien sighed before following behind them.
Somewhere Unknown......
She shook her head as she saw the four elves talking about their journey. She moved away from the eye in which she used to see everyone and everything.
“What are we going to do about them?" Someone asked .
“Nothing...As the saying goes.... curiosity kills the cat" she smiled sinisterly.......
