TIME [3:15 PM] The trio soon got off at their university's gate. Sophie headed straight to the principal's office as they were already late. Anna and Kayara decided to hang around in the campus garden as they were not needed in principal office. "Don't you think you should talk to that professor before Sophie comes back? We have nothing to do here anyway," Anna advised slyly. Kayara choked on her own breath. She thought that Anna had forgotten that professor thing but she remembered. Obiviously she did. "Yes , you are right. I'm going to meet Professor Christin then. Are you coming with me?" Kayara asked reluctantly. She chose Professor Christin because he was very frank and cool in nature and she was one of the students who had taken his good side. She was sure that Professor Christin would understand her situation, and he would help her and save her from her friend's beating, yet she still didn't know how she's gonna explain it to him. "Of course I'm coming. Let's go," Anna stood up, ready to see what Kayara was really talking about. The two took the elevator as Mr. Christin's office was on the fifth floor of the building. He was always in his office after college hours. When they reached the office door, they noticed that Professor Christin's office was already occupied with two guests and he was quite busy with them. They seemed to be immersed in some arguments. "We have to wait for some time," Anna figured out, noticing the guest, "Come, let's sit here." Anna sat on the chair outside the office. Kayara followed the suit and sat next to her friend. In her mind, Kayara was continuously praying for Sophie to return before Mr. Christin's guests left but deep down she knew that Sophie would take much time at office work. But she didn't want to get merciless beating from her friend. 'What was the need to make excuses? Can't you come up of any other reason? You're really i***t, Kayara.' she confronted herself. 'Oh God!! Please save this poor child of yours.' she prayed. But curse to her bad luck. After no less than fifteen minutes, the guests started to head out of the office. Before they came out, Kayara and Anna got up from their seats to enter. Kayara stepped ahead to go in the office and turned to face Anna while saying her part, "You should wait here. I won't take much time." Anna nodded and Kayara turned to look ahead. But it was too late to retreat that she had already collided with one of the two guests. A young man. "Ahh…Sorry. I can't..." she apologized and raised her head to see who the man was. "No... No... not again," she took a step back and said in an astonished yet disappointed voice. "What the hell!!" she cursed under her breath. "What 'not again'?" the man asked with a devilish smile on his face when he saw who was in front of him. "Oh God…is there only one man on earth to bump into?" She yelled, frustration building up inside her when she saw that smile on his face. Only God knows why that mischievous, teasing smile on this face always irritates Kayara to her core. Anna and the second guest however were standing there quietly and enjoying the merry reunion scene, even though they had half a clue about what was going on. Anna was slightly shocked seeing Kayara's behavior with the man because she didn't know her relationship with this man was this good that she was yelling at him out of nowhere. She knew the man who he was. This was the legendary Alexander Smith and her friend was messing with him at their every meet. At first meeting, she made him perverted guy then in second one, she gave him bartender's job and now she's behaving like this. Nevertheless, Anna was enjoying it. Meanwhile, the second guest had that cute smile on his face as he too enjoyed the drama of his brother and Kayara who he knew oh so well. His gossipy mind was again on the work of digging out some more juicy news. "No, you are wrong. There are lots of men on earth to bump into, but for you there is only one and that one is me," he said and winked at her. "Shut up...you p*****t," she thumped her feet on the floor. "If you are done with your cheap flirting, then move out of the way. We don't have time to waste on bastards like you, Mr. Smith." Kayara roared. She cursed him but didn't forget to give his prescribed respect in the end. "Sure miss," he obliged and stepped aside, gesturing for them to enter. He didn't fail to notice the way she was calling him. 'So, she finally knew who I am.' Kayara shot him a killer's gaze before she finally entered the office with Anna following her in. Alex couldn't help but smiled again at her reaction. His gaze lingered on her for a while, before he turned to leave. "Brother, she is unbelievable. She is not like those other girls who always drool on handsome faces," Jacob said following Alex. "Hmm," Alex said, still smiling. "Does she also study here?" "Umm.. I don't know…not sure." Jacob said. Alex smirked, "How would you know? You'll know something only if you are attend the college. Presence matters, right?" he said in a sarcastic way. "Hmm you can say that," Jacob agreed, unaffected from his brother's try at taunting him. "Brother, don't lie. You like her, right?" Jacob asked for the millionth time. On his question, Alex realised that he had a smile on his face without any reason. He tried to wipe away that smile and cleared his throat, switching to his usual cold voice, "I completed my promise and saved you. Now, don't forget what you promised. Keep your face away from my line of sight for one whole day. Understand?" he successfully diverted the topic. "Huu.. You are too much brother. And I remember what I said, afterall I'm man of my words," Jacob said with a long face, disappointed that he had received no answer to his question. Soon, the two brothers got inside the car and left the campus. .....
