Flawed Love

Message Request

"What! Unaccepted?" The three shouted together, clear astonishment flashed on their faces. Unbelievable.

After some time of silence...

"How can it be? He didn't accept your request," Sophie said, looking at Kayara's face in deep contemplation.

"Yes, the way he talked to you in college, I also felt that he would accept your request in one go," Anna agreed, "But guys, how did we just forget that he is a very great businessman, so there was no way of him being an easy going human being."

"I knew.....I knew that he wouldn't accept my request. Why did I let you guys force me into sending it? I shouldn't have sent it. I already know he was a grossly shameless, ill-tempered, brash and arrogant person. He only knows how to flirt. Apart from this, he does not know anything," Kayara fumed, gritting her teeth and regretting over her decision of sending the friend request.

"Darling, calm down. Who knows what's going on at his side? He must be busy somewhere else and must not have seen the request. He will accept when he sees it," Anna coaxed Kayara.

"Hmm... maybe Anna's right? Maybe he came online for something else," Sophie said, "Let's go to sleep now. It's been too late." And with that she got up from the couch.

Anna yawned, "Yes you are right. I am tired too."

Sophie took the laptop back from Kayara's lap, "Hurry up and go sleep now," she ordered. "What's done is done. You can't turn back to your decision of sending the request." she joked.

Kayara waved her hand, "Goodnight, sleep well," she said sleepily and went to her room like Sophie has told her to.

The next day, the sun rays slowly peeped in from behind the curtains and made their way to Kayara's bed. The pinpricks of bright light disturbed Kayara's deep sleep and she slowly lifted her eyes open, covering her face with the back of her hand.

She turned to look at the time in the watch placed on the side table.

A lightning of shock shot through her, making her jump in urgency, "Oh Gosh! I'm late! Looks like I won't be able to make it to class today."

Throwing away the blankets, she got out of the bed and quickly grabbed her clothes from wardrobe and ran towards the bathroom. After some time she came out of the room, fully ready in college going attire.

When she saw that there was no movement in the living room and kitchen, she mumbled to herself, "It is already 9 o'clock. I'm too late. Even those girls did not wake me up! Or is it that they are sleeping too? Let me see if they have woken up or not."

She rushed to Sophie's room to check. But when she entered the room, she saw that both her friends were sitting there and doing something on the laptop. Doing something on 'her' laptop.

"Madam," Anna looked up at an all dressed up Kayara, "Where....where are you going so early in the morning? We have already taken the leave for one week from college. Forgot already?"

"Oh yes, I had really forgotten this. Look, I got ready in a very short period of time."

Anna smiled , "This is a great way to get you ready quickly. Point noted."

"How?" Kayara asked with a frown, folding her arms around her chest and leaning against the door frame.

"If we wake you up late, you'll not waste time and get ready soon," Anna laughed loudly.

"Hmph. Don't ever think of doing that, if I'm late then I won't let you go too."

"Okay, we won't do that," Sophie sighed, "Now come in, we need to show you something."

Kayara walked in and said, "What are you two doing on my laptop?" she narrowed her eyes in doubt.

"Come and see for yourself," Anna said with a wicked smile.

Kayara fixated a glare on Anna and bent down to see what her friends were doing on her laptop. She saw a chat box of her account open on the screen. She took the laptop in her hand to read and slowly sat at edge of the bed to read comfortably.

These chats were with no one other than Alex! Oh my Goodness! She glanced at the two once in surprise and giving a warning look before burying her eyes in the laptop again.

And what she read was something unbelievable. The other two had gone forward and sent a message request to Alex, even before he accepted her request.

'RIP to my poor self respect.' Kayara mumbled.

The chats between the two read as:

[You have sent a message request to Alex.]

[Alex has accepted your message request.]

Kayara: Hello, Why didn't you accept my request?

Alexander Smith: Wow, What a way to greet someone.... is it only for me or do you do the same with everyone?

Kayara: Oh sorry, I forgot in a hurry. Hello…How are you?

Alexander Smith: I'm fine. What about you?

Kayara: Me too

Alexander Smith: The way you are talking with me right now makes me think you prefer chatting more than face-to-face talks.

Kayara: I asked you something before.

Alexander Smith: I can answer it only if you meet me in person.

Kayara: Sure, I'm ready as I also have something to tell you.

Alexander Smith: Oh is that so? I'll send you the address then. Done?

Kayara: Okay done.

...

Kayara couldn't say anything for a few seconds. But when she regained her composure, she exploded.

"What the hell is this!? You even apologized to him, whyyy?"

Seeing her reaction Sophie chuckled and said, "What's wrong with this? We were just helping you."

"Who asked for help from you and secondly…who helps in this way?" Kayara yelled louder. "I don't need your help."

"Don't get angry Kayara. This way you'll be able to talk to him and solve those issues," Sophie explained politely.

"No. Have you gone mad? I will not go and meet him alone," she said firmly. " Not at all."

"Not even for me?" Sophie said making puppy eyes.

"Don't try to woo me. You don't know how perverted he is."

"For me, please," Sophie blinked her eyes cutely.

Sadly, Kayara could not resist her cuteness. She was her best friend after all. And all the things she herself had said about making Sophie happy came rushing into her mind. "Okay fine I will do it for you."

"Whoa I really love you!" Sophie jumped in joy and hugged her tightly.

"Okay leave me now. I am very hungry. Have you guys had breakfast? "

"No, we were waiting for you."

"Let's satisfy our screaming tummy then," Kayara smiled lightly and they sat for dinner, merry smiles playing on everyone's lips.
