Sophie looked at Kayara with a weird expression as she got pulled back to the table, "What the…"

"Eat. Then go," Kayara urged and Sophie paused for a moment and sighed, realizing that Kayara was right after all, the assignment needed energy and food should give her that. Sophie loosened herself and three room-mates settled themselves on the table and started eating peacefully. The morning sunlight breaking in through the large window and kissing their rosy faces.

After five minutes of peaceful eating, Anna shifted in her seat to take her phone and once she opened it, she screamed loudly breaking the silence, staring at her mobile screen. "AH! Oh. My God!"

That sudden scream startled the other two and they looked up in confusion

"What happened, Anna? Why are you shouting?" Kayara questioned.

"I can't believe my own eyes," Anna shook her head, eyes wide and clasping her phone like she couldn't believe it. She looked up at Kayara, "He texted me, bro."

"Who?" Sophie tuned in, raising her brows slightly.

Kayara and Anna locked gazes and a silent conversation passed through their eyes. Anna nodded as if to answer Kayara's silent question. Her lips slowly curled in response, a deadly mischievous smile. The prank was going forward.

"Who else?" Anna acted out, "My only crush…my Alex," she wailed, "His name is also as sexy as his looks. Oh, I'm dying now."

"Who Alex?" Sophie pored.

"A.L.E.X..." Anna spelled out to catch Sophie's attention, "..A.N.D.E.R."

Sophie was losing her patience now, what with Anna's vague answers to her direct questions. And moreover, this was about a guy, Sophie's repel factor. "Who is this Alexander? Can't you explain it clearly?"

"Alex," Anna continued, ignoring the questions and opening up her photo gallery, "The brave guy who dared to propose Sophie, the great devil," she cackled at the nickname while staring at her phone, behaving like she was looking a photo in it, "Look at this display of handsomeness, his eyes, his nose and his sexy black hair!" she sighed.

"But yet he messaged me to know your answer. My poor heart is breaking into pieces. My bad lu-" Anna stopped midway when she noticed a killing stare coming from the person whom she was trying to ignore from the start.

Sophie got up, her chair scraping across the floor. "I'm done and leaving first for college," she declared, not breaking the death stare at Anna "Kayara. Come safely and don't forget to call me once you're there okay? Bye."

A silent, tense moment passed between the great devil and Anna before she turned and left the house for college.

"I did too much this time, didn't I?" Anna asked Kayara sheepishly.

Kayara waved her hand, "Don't worry, she'll forget it after a while."

Anna sighed, not quite convinced and looked down at her half-empty plate, as she played with her food dejectedly. Maybe she shouldn't have gone that far. They both knew how much Sophie detested boys and still they decided to play this prank. Then Kayara's question shattered her trance.

"Anna, who is this Alexander Smith anyway? Do you know any Alexander in reality?" Kayara asked.

"I don't know any Alexander. I just said it randomly," her face lit up then, smiling, "By the way, Alexander Smith is a cool name, right?" Anna said.

"It is! But what will we do if we meet a man of this name in the future?" Kayara asked worriedly. It was a dumb thought, but there was a possibility.

"Even if we do meet one, we can always divert Sophie to say that it was another Alexander who proposed to her as I'm pretty sure there are many men named Alexander Smith," Anna reasoned out.

After a few deep seconds of thought, Kayara smiled, "You are right."

Time [11:45 AM]

The university was a huge one with a lively campus and beautifully carved greenery scattered in pretty measure. Some morning students were buzzing here and there, on their way to their classes. Some of them were simply biding time under the tall looming trees.

A yellow cab rolled in front of the arched gate of the university and two girls got out of the cab while rummaging their bags for their ID cards.

Kayara wore a full sleeved yellow top with black velvet skirt and flat black sandals. She had wrapped a black scarf around her neck and left her hair open. Following Kayara, Anna was wearing a black skin tight one piece paired with dark brown shoes. If one gave a simple and cute vibe then the other was looking utterly fabulous.

Once they had their ID cards swinging from their necks and were on campus, Kayara called Sophie.

"Hey, we're waiting here at the front lawn," Kayara informed and Sophie simply replied that she was on her way.

Within five minutes Sophie appeared in their line of sight waving her hand towards them.

"How's your assignment going on?" Anna asked when Sophie reached them. Her neatly coiffed hair was slightly messed up but other than that, she was perfect. No one would have guessed she had a hard day.

"Ugh...guys, it was seriously very tiring. I'm totally exhausted with this boring life. Don't you think we need a break from this monotonous life of ours? What you say, huh?" Sophie lamented, pushing her back.

Anna couldn't agree more, "Yes, you are right. We should take leave for one week."

"As you know me very well, I'm always ready. Let's go on a trip!" Kayara agreed immediately without any delay. She was a girl who was always ready for adventure, unlike Anna who didn't normally like all these things. She always called it a waste of time. But if it was with Kayara and Sophie then she was always up for a chill. What could be a waste of time with those two?

"Anna...what about you? You up for trip or staying home?" Sophie asked after she herself agreed to the idea.

"Anna is also coming with us. If we go then we all three will go together," Kayara answered for her then nudged her friend, "Right, Anna?"

"Yeah, sure I've got nothing else on my plate so definitely!" Anna agreed.

After deciding their hangout plan, the three crazy birds exited the dreaded campus through the back door.
