Damian's P.O.V. The warmth of Kiera’s skin under my hands was like an anchor, pulling me back from the edge. I needed her. More than I ever realized. I could see the turmoil in her eyes, the confusion and pain, but there was something else too—something that made my heart beat faster. Trust. She was still willing to trust me enough to listen, to let me hold her like this, even when it felt like everything was falling apart around us. Her breath hitched as I gently brushed a lock of hair from her face, my thumb grazing her soft skin. "Kiera," I whispered, my voice hoarse with emotion. "I want you to believe me when I say that I’m here for you. Always. It’s just you and me, baby. Nothing else matters."
