  "Yes," Liana replied honestly. "Very hard."   "Then why do it?" Liam asked.   She looked at him, her gaze steady now. "Because if you don't," she said, "you carry the hurt with you everywhere you go."   "Like a bag?" one of the children asked.   Liana smiled again "Yes," she said "Like a very heavy bag that never leaves your shoulder."   "And forgiving drops the bag?" the child asked.   "It makes it lighter," she corrected gently. "Sometimes it takes time before you can put it down completely." The children nodded slowly, absorbing it in their own way.
