Chapter 16: Uncertainty’s and flirtations

1548 Words
Kai I went back into my place and washed my hands of Reese’s blood. I’d never liked him, he was a nasty piece of s.hit, when Leo had brought Grayson back to the pack as some wild feral kid who thought he was a true wolf, Reese had targeted him, he was always bullying Grayson, calling him names, mocking him, as Grayson got older Reese and Charlie thought it would be funny to set him up to a challenge against a mutt, a full grown mutt. Grayson had only been fourteen at the time, he got beat pretty bad, but he did good for a scrappy teen, and then he took it one step further by killing the mutt, needless to say, that scared Charlie and Reese, and they backed off Grayson. Charlie had grown more mature, but Reese carried on with the bullying, not as bad as before because he’d grown scared of Grayson and what he was capable of, he finally stopped when Grayson had snapped one day and beat him so bad he couldn’t walk for a week, he threatened to kill Reese if he bothered him again and Reese wisely never did. When Lara joined the pack, he’d tried coming onto her once, but when he realised she was Grayson’s he turned to bullying her, he was a f.ucker and now he leered at Natasha who was so pure and innocent, we all knew it started off when she was younger, and it made my skin crawl. I knew why he was always checking her out, I hated to sound like a pervert myself, but when I’d first met Lara I’d been among the pack members who noticed how big her b.reasts were, she had been a bigger girl too at the time, something we weren’t used to with the naturally slim athletic female werewolves, Natasha had taken after her in the big chest department, was bigger in fact, so Reese couldn’t seem to keep his eyes off her chest, no matter what kind of clothing she wore to hide them. I wasn’t violent by nature, ok, not true, werewolves were violent creatures, but only when provoked, as an omega, I was the least likely to be aggressive, especially towards a pack member, I don’t know why I’d snapped, it was nothing he hadn’t done before, I just felt…protective? No, it wasn’t just that, it was more, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. I waited until the anger had passed, werewolves typically had bad tempers, all the extra adrenaline and testosterone running through us, the change, all of it combined made us quick to temper, so I had to wait until I was certain I was in control of myself before heading back in to the others. Reese was awake by then and sitting slumped on a chair while Leo calmly cleaned him up and Ellie sat beside him looking concerned. Charlie stood next to me and murmured, “he deserved that, how the f***k he ever got Ellie to be friends with him, I’ll never know, she’s way too hot for him.” I looked at Ellie, her long locks of light blonde hair, pretty blue eyes and full lips. He was right, she was f.ucking gorgeous, she caught me looking at her and blushing she smiled at me. Charlie elbowed me lightly in the side. “See that smile? Think she likes you.” “Or you, maybe she was looking at you.” “Nope, not that I’d say no, but it was definitely for you.” I rolled my eyes and went to grab some bacon off a plate when Leo caught my hand. “Are you going to behave yourself now?” “Yep, sorry.” He let my hand go and I took the bacon. Grayson mostly ran the pack these days, but sometimes Leo still stepped in where it was needed, he’d always been a calm and very good alpha, always assertive more than aggressive, and sometimes we needed that, Grayson was way too hot-tempered for it, so Leo was usually needed sometimes. Charlie sat beside Ellie and started flirting with her, twirling her hair in his fingers and telling her how pretty he thought it was. She giggled and blushed, and he saw that as an opportunity to put his hand on her leg, he stayed respectful, for now, keeping it away from her thigh and only lightly on her knee. Grayson came in and took Reese to his doctor’s office next door, yep, he was a doctor too, clever little genius under all that wild. “Sit down,” Charlie said, offering me the seat beside Ellie. I did, they flirted a little, she tried to flirt with me, I responded and when her hand went to my thigh my d.ick grew hard for her, she was so f.ucking sexy. Natasha had gone off with Amber and Lara somewhere, I wouldn’t have been so mean as to flirt in front of her with another female. I suppose I wanted to see my options before making any choices, it was so rare to find female werewolves, and right now, there were two available. Ellie was more dominant, and I think Grayson was right that I wasn’t really an omega anymore, I wasn’t sure I wanted an omega for a mate, but did I want a more dominant mate? I didn’t know. I wasn’t sure Natasha was my type, she was pack and I loved her as much as I did the rest of the pack, but I didn’t think she’d be able to keep up with me in the bedroom, I was wild and k.inky as f***k, I liked s**x, a lot, and she was too innocent and too much of a good girl, I usually went for the bad girls, though I guess I didn’t want that for a lifetime mate, maybe someone k.inky though. I didn’t know what the f***k I wanted in a mate. Ellie was my type looks wise, and I hated myself for thinking it, but Natasha wasn’t. When Charlie grew bored, as he often did with women, I had a moment alone with Ellie. “You’re a gorgeous woman,” I smiled. “Thanks,” she blushed. She leaned forward, and I knew she was waiting for me to kiss her. I leaned in and kissed her, but it wasn’t what I expected, I should have been practically coming in my pants over her, human woman turned me on, but a female werewolf turned me on a hell of a lot more, and they smelt so f.ucking good, so I didn’t understand as I was kissing her why I felt nothing, actually, I did feel something, I felt sick, it felt wrong to be kissing her and I broke it off. “What’s wrong?” She asked. Luckily, Amber and Leo came in to the room, so I didn’t have to answer her. I left as soon as I could without being rude. I didn’t understand why I didn’t enjoy it, even my d.ick had grown limp. I could hear Charlie in the living room asking Natasha out on a date for later tonight, f.ucker. I walked in and interrupted, “if he takes you tonight then I take you out tomorrow.” Charlie smirked at me, “I thought you were getting all cosy with—” “Don’t!” I growled. He held his hands up in defence. “Alright, chill.” I had to leave the room before I lost my s.hit again, I don’t know why I was so bad tempered lately, I’d changed recently, had I eaten enough raw meat? I wasn’t sure, I’d change later and hunt to see if it helped. When Natasha left for her date with Charlie, I went out and changed. Usually, I liked to run with someone, it was lonely running alone, but I needed the distraction. I grunted through the pain as my bones moved and shifted underneath my skin, they reshaped themselves and there was always this point in the change where you felt like f.ucking dying, my face felt like someone was bashing it in with a hammer as the bones moved and shifted, muscles too, my skin felt taut against the bone, not just in my face but all over, like it would split and tear any second and bones would be cutting through, this was the most painful part, it started to ease once the fur spread across the body. I shook myself, ridding myself of the last lingering effects of pain. I stretched my body out, getting rid of any last aches, and then I slowly walked through the forest. I made myself take the time to enjoy the smells of the forest, the familiar scents of the trees, the dirt, the animals…Natasha. I could smell all of the pack throughout this forest, we ran in it often enough, so I don’t know why I only took notice of Natasha’s scent. I found a couple of rabbits and managed to catch two, when I’d finished eating my second one I caught another two and ate until I was full, still didn’t help much, though. What the f***k was wrong with me.
