I chuckled to myself as I shook my head, a wry smile playing on my lips. "What is wrong with you, Jack Damien Finn?" I muttered, my voice barely audible. It was the first time I'd been rejected, but it certainly felt like I had been rejected multiple times. I'd always been the one to get what I wanted, to have things fall into place. This time, however, it seemed the universe had a different plan.
If I want something, I just take it. I've always gotten what I wanted. Being part of the most powerful family, I'm used to people bending to my will. But then, she showed up. She was different.
