Shock from every corner.

RAVANNA The warmth of the sunlight through the cotton curtain seeped into my consciousness and pulled me from the depths of my sleep. I yawned lazily and groggily opened my eyes, expecting the usual smell of coffee. Instead, I played into a stranger’s arms in an unfamiliar surrounding, a hotel room. The little hum of the air conditioner and the distant chatters of passersby outside confirmed that I was really not at home. I sat up, looked at the stranger sleeping soundly beside me and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. Memories began to flood back. My wedding, the chaos of being left on the altar…family…the dog… a stranger last night and the—oops. What have I done! My heart skipped a beat as he turned over on the bed. He was still asleep. I threw off the covers and swung my legs over the side of the bed. It feels like a movie. Quickly, I found my escape way and began to dress. “Where do you think you are going to?” The aura of his voice froze me in place like he had commanded my body. I was terrified. I swallowed hard before regaining myself. I dragged the covers from him and covered myself but that only made it worse. He was also naked. “Please leave me. I need to go,” I begged and stepped back. His exposed torao was mighty. I’ve never seen a man so sexy, not like I have any experience. They are probably all like this. He sat up, resting on the bedframe with folded arms. “I remember you begging me to f**k you harder last night. Now you are begging to leave?” He said with a smirk. I hate him already. I turned away in embarrassment. “Turn to me when I speak to you!” I instantly did as he asked. “Sit,” he commanded. I had no choice. I don’t know who he is. He had a crazy aura that screamed of danger. His eyes…they were different in a way, a way that wasn’t good. “You are going to be my wife.” He stood up, made a phone call then returned. “You are going to be my wife…for now. Something is bringing the contract and you would sign it.” I laughed dryly. “Excuse me?” I stood up and kept dressing up. “Sit!” No. I don’t think so. He is crazy. I don’t f*****g know who he is and he has been sounding crazy since he woke up. “Okay look, yesterday was a mistake, I can forgive you for coming into my room and sexually abusing me. I won’t forgive you if you blackmail me so just let me leave. I have enough on my plate.” He laughed. “Sexually abused you? You asked for it. You wanted me to f**k you because you’ve never been touched. You gave me your body like a w***e and moaned like your life depended on it. You loved it, and you want it again.” His words sent shivers down my spine and made my heart flutter. Ain’t no way I’ll ever want to do that again. Not ever! Were all men this arrogant? I bit my lips angrily. Tears clouded my eyes. “Let me go!” If you keep biting your lips, you may summon a monster. He sat up shaking his head. I looked around. The dog was gone. Did he kill it? The door opened. Two men dressed in suits came in. One had a new dress with him and the other brought a document. He passed me the document, took the dress and began dressing up. “Who the hell are you? How did you enter my–” “Good,” the stranger said to the people who walked in. “Are you serious?” I exclaimed. “This is ridiculous.” But it could be useful to me. I don’t know who this man is but I could use this to get revenge on Alex and my family. However, not everything is what it seems. “I’ll pay you any amount you want. You’ll have anything you want and we will live together in my house. You will take my name but you must not interfere in my personal life, I don’t want to see you with any man.” “But–” “I’m not asking, sign the papers!” His voice was commanding enough. It was all the warning I needed. I took the document and signed it with trembling hands, feeling a little accomplished but also scared to my bones. This is happening so fast. The other men disappeared and he began dressing up. I looked away hastily. “Let’s go.” He took my hand and led me out of the hotel. I had no words, just prayed I wouldn’t get killed. I’ve died too many times, this time might be real. Once we were in his car, they covered my nose with a handkerchief. I passed out in seconds. I woke up moments later in another room. This place was cold and smelled of iron and blood. The stranger was sitting beside me when I woke up. “You speak in your sleep.” He creeps me out. I jolted again and took a few steps away. “What did you do to me?” He slowly examined me. “Do you think I give a damn about you? All I need is your presence. That’s our wedding dress. Get dressed and I’ll walk you down there.” I looked at the dress. It was the exact dress I had dreamed of. A black ball gown. I knew they always wore white but I've always thought about how black means everything royalty. A wedding already? How the f**k is this happening? I dressed up and knocked on the man to check me out. He stared at me for a while before blinking and taking my hand. “You look stunning.” I smiled at him, hoping to find the best in this. Through an elevator, we arrived in what looked like a crowded underground church. Everyone wore black suits and evening dresses. Only candles were lit. It looked like a cult but I still walked down the aisle. “Do you, Reed Halloran, take Ravanna Camelot as your wife, mate and Luna?” Said the administrator. How the f**k did they know my name? I sighed internally. Now is not the time to be curious. I’m in deep s**t. “I do.” It was easy for him to say. This is all a contract with a devil I didn’t know. The administrator turned to me. Do you, Ravana Camelot, take Reed Halloran as your husband, mate and Alpha?” I stared deep into his eyes. I had no idea what that meant. Yesterday, I was abandoned on the altar and today, I am here with a stranger, taking the same vows, even more dangerous. “I do,” I answered hoping not to regret it later.. “I pronounce you, Alpha and Luna.” If I’m not tripping, I saw the man’s eyes glow red. Reed…it rang a bell. He has a beautiful name. I’m officially married. Reed grabbed my waist, pulled me close and kissed me. Not just a wedding kiss. He kissed me passionately, sinking his fingers into my hair. The kiss became hungrier and more intense. My p***y lost its sense. f**k, we were still on the f*****g altar. “Get a room, Reed,” someone laughed and walked away. When we broke the kiss, everyone had left. “We’re married now,” Reed turned to me. “We would be going to your home to get everything you own.” “My…my house? Today?” He ignored me and walked away.
