CHAPTER SIX

1125 Words
ARIA'S POV Am I going to sit in front of Vincenzo de Luca for the second time in the same week? I was honestly confused to what my life had come to. "My sister is planning on coming over today after dinner, I think she'll love you." He said, a little happier than before. I nodded as he led me outside for dinner. "What took you guys so long? I've already finished my dinner!" A woman, who I'm sure was Vincenzo's mother said. "I'm going to go back to my place now, take care, dear" She told me and Vincenzo gave her a peck on her cheek. I gave her a shy smile before she left me and Vincenzo in the large living room. "I'm bringing you out later, since it's early" He said and my eyes widened. Was this supposed to happen? I was going to go out with an internet star who has the world crazy for. I wondered what had possibly led me to be in the same room as him? It's fate, my subconscious replied. After our meal, I made my way to the room I've been spending my nights in and learnt some languages. It wasn't long before I heard the doorbell ring. I slid my phone under my pillow, hearing a commotion coming from downstairs before the door literally break open. "Who's the one that my brother has in her room?!" She screamed, scanning the room before her eyes landed on me. "My brother's taking you on a date?" She asked, her eyes glistened. "I mean why wouldn't he? You're gorgeous!" "My names Emma de Luca, you might seen me on the internet, what your name?" She said, full of energy. I quickly realized how different the siblings were. I smiled and replied, "Aria" She was so much happier than Vincenzo, I would have never known they were related. I used to be just like her, but I've lost all my self-esteem throughout the years of abuse. She then sat beside me on the bed, asking a bunch questions - which made it seem like we've been best friends for years. "My brother's bringing you out on a date in three hours right?" She beamed and I nod, though I was not exactly sure about the details. ** "Ouch!" I glared at her sideways knowing she did it on purpose. "Sorry, your hair is just so smooth!" she said and continued to tie my hair. We had, without doubt, became closer although it had just been two hours after we met. We talked for almost an hour and I started opening up second by second. I had no friends for years, no one to talk to, but I believed in my guts and decided to trust her. So I told her my past. She did not say anything much or showed me pity, which I was happy for - I honestly hate being pitied. "Aria, how did my brother find you?" She asked curiously. "I fainted while running away" I simply told her. She nodded then smiled, not wanting to ask anymore questions. My heart sped as I thought about where Vincenzo might to bring me, before Emma broke my train of thoughts "I'm almost done!" I did not miss the proud twinkle in her eyes, "Lemme touch up on your makeup" She said before getting to work. I realized it was not long before he will bring me out to wherever we were going. I was hoping it would not be awkward, since I did scream at him several times since I have gotten here. "Okay, now I'm really done!" She said as she turned the chair around so I was now facing a giant mirror. Immediately, my mouth dropped open. The woman staring back at me was beautiful, she looked to be someone in a magazine, in every social media page and be every's man dreams. I could barely believe it was me. My red lipstick shone like fire and my brown eyes looked even darker and my eyebrows were flawless. My hair was in a styled high ponytail, which Emma helped me with. "Speechless?" She asked, chuckling. ** VINCENZO'S POV My heart hammered against my chest. I didn't know why I was so nervous, I had never been anxious when going out with others. So why her? I huffed out a breath of annoyance when my dad came to sit beside me on the couch. I've almost forgotten he was here. He brought Emma along with him over to my place and decided to stay a little longer. "Having trouble with life, son?" He asked as winkles formed on his forehead. "Is it that girl is your room?" "You like her?" He had always been a blunt guy, especially towards his family members. "Yeah, I do like her" I confirmed, knowing it was a fact. Chuckling, I add, "Is it too soon?" It was more like an immediate attraction, since it was way too soon to say anything yet. "I can't wait to see her" He smiled again, "What kind of girl would make my son truly like her!" He asked as if it was almost fascinating. It was then I heard clicking from the stairs, causing both my head and my father's to snap towards the noise. My breath got caught up in my throat just by looking at her. She looked absolutely perfect, her dark, wavy hair tied up in a tight ponytail, swinging as she walks down the stairs. She looked at me, and in that moment, I felt like there was just us. Beautiful was the only word I can think of. Her short red dress with sleeves until her wrist made her look unbelievably hot - so much hotter than every other girl I have ever dated. I was quick to remind myself that it was not all about the looks, what she had been through just describes how brave she was. I looked away, realizing that I was staring. I looked at my father with a quirked eyebrow and he surprisingly nodded, signifying that he approves her as a date. Emma walked downstairs, tugging the side of her lip as she glanced at me before moving into the kitchen to probably get some food. I rolled my eyes, as my attention shift to the brunette which had just stepped down from the stairs. Immediately, I rose from my seat and approached her. "You look breathtakingly beautiful" I whispered huskily in her ear, making her shiver. I took her hand, nodding to my dad, and set foot outside the house. I knew she was not used to be around me yet, so I'm making sure that after today, that would change.
