A few weeks had past, the rumours seemed to have dissipated, Zack was trying to get into your good graces. You decide to go for a walk to pass the time. You arrive at Sam's cave, you notice Sam and Nate are already there, you decide to set yourself back a bit in the brush to hear what him and Nate are talking about.
"You've been meeting her behind my back haven't you?" Sam snaps.
"Who?" Nate asked, confused.
"Olivia." Sam replied.
"That's not your business, she's an adult, she can do what she wants." Nate hissed.
"She's 17, until she's 18 she is under my care." Sam brushes Nate off.
"You love the control don't you?" Nate clenches his fists.
"No!" Sam dismisses.
"Maybe I have been meeting her behind your back, maybe we've been meeting in secret, away from you." Nate remarked, antagonising Sam.
Sam lunges at Nate. You step in front of Nate as Sam goes to swipe at him.
"Move" Sam demanded.
"No, Leave him alone!" You yell at him.
"Move. NOW!" Sam had taken his full werewolf form almost at this point.
"Why are you going to hurt me too?" You question your brother. Sam shakes his head.
"This isn't you Sam, snap out of it." Sam takes the form of his human self again. "Nate was looking out for me, you need to accept that." You explain.
"I'm only looking out for you, I swore to protect you." Sam replied sadly.
"When we were little kids, I'm 17, I can take care of myself." You replied.
"You're under my rules until you're 18." Sam snapped.
"I hate you!" You scream at him.
"If I find out you've been having anymore secret meet ups with him, I'll make you choose." Sam snaps at you.
You walk away without saying another word. 'I'm sick of him treating me like a child.' You head for some food, alone, as you're sitting in the booth of the local diner, you hear some footsteps approach the booth, it's Tara.
"Olivia?" She speaks softly.
"What are you doing here T?" You ask her calmly.
"I hadn't heard from you in hours, Sam won't pick up, I checked with Zack and he wasn't with you so I checked your location and found you here." Tara replied her voice filled with sadness.
"I just want to be alone." You sigh.
"What happened?" She asked.
"Sam and Nate were fighting about me and I basically have to live by Sam's rules until I'm 18." You explain.
"What!" Tara stepped back in shock, unaware of her boyfriends rules.
"Yep, so for the next two months it's yes Sam, no Sam and him just being a jerk." You sigh again.
"I'm sorry." Tara gives you an apologetic look.
"You don't have to apologise, I'm just gonna go home." You stand up to leave the diner, Zack comes rushing in followed by Sam. "Leave me alone Sam, don't you think you've caused enough damage?" You tut at him.
"I was just trying to protect you, will you stop being a brat." Sam snapped.
"I told you I don't need protected." You demand, hoping this time it will sink in.
Sam huffs, you turn to Zack "Why are you here?" You asked him aggravated.
"I heard you fought with Sam, I wanted to check on you." He replies sheepishly.
"After the drama you caused." You begin to chew him out until Sam throws you a look, you sigh "Fine, Thanks, I need to go." You finish your conversation and Before anyone has a chance to reply you walk out of the diner. You head straight home, you notice Nate's car is in and Taylor is over at his house. 'they look cosy.' You pull out your phone and begin texting Nate.
Text conversation;
So Prom?
What about it?
I got your note, you want my answer?
Oh, erm, not really, I'm going with someone else now.
Oh
I'm sorry, we shouldn't talk anymore.
Sure, fine...
You hit block on Nate's number and crash on to your bed you feel hurt by Nate for just ditching you after acting like he wanted to go to prom with you but there was a part of you that wasn't accepting that he came to that decision himself and that Sam had some influence in his decision.
'I was so stupid to think we could be friends, I am so done with him!' After a while your mom peers her head around the corner.
"Dinners almost ready, you hungry?" She asked sweetly.
"Sure, how are you feeling?" You ask, hoping for her to feel better.
"I'm fine sweetie." She replied, you give her a comforting smile.
You follow your mom to the dining room. You take a seat ready to eat, Sam walks in the door followed by Tara and Zack.
"You're having dinner with us?" You glare at Zack.
"Yeah, Sam invited me." Zack laughed, as though nothing had happened between the two of you.
You take a seat and Zack sits beside you, you turn to him "This doesn't mean I forgive you." You whisper to him.
Your mom serves dinner and seats herself at the table, it's as though she can sense the tension, she turns to you and Sam.
"So how is school going?" She smiles sweetly.
"Okay apart from a few rumours." You side eye Zack.
"Rumours?" Your mom has her mouth open in shock.
"Someone told school about the werewolf thing." You explain to her.
"Whoever did that is a jerk." Your mom blurts out, Zacks face goes bright red. "Zack?" Your mom looks at him and gasps.
"I'm sorry it was taken out of context." Zack explained apologetically.
"Do you forgive him Olivia?" Your mom asked you.
"No, he caused me a lot of problems." You respond.
"What do I have to do to prove that I feel bad for what I did?" Zack gives you a pleading look.
'Nate asked me the same thing before ditching me for Taylor.' "I'm not sure, prove you're sorry." You remark, emotionless.
"Deal." Zack looks almost giddy at the thought of you forgiving him.
Your mom smiles, changing the subject she begins to laugh. "Sam are you taking Tara to prom?" She asked.
"Of course." Sam replied.
"When you actually ask me." Tara smirked.
"I just assumed." Sam replied embarrassed.
"Why because I'm your girlfriend I would automatically go with you?" Tara teases.
"Well, yeah." Sam muttered.
"I might have boys queuing to ask me." Tara giggles.
"They can think again." Sam's eyes darkened.
"Your face." Tara bursts out laughing, "That was hilarious T." You join in the laughing.
"Whatever, what about you Olivia?" Sam asked, looking shyly at you.
"I um, I have a date." You mutter 'lies, complete lies.'
"You do? Who?" Sam and Tara ask simultaneously.
"I'm not telling." You reply. 'I no longer have a date, he ditched me for a popular girl.' Tara frowns she knows somethings off.
"What's really happening?" Tara asked, her gaze piercing into you.
"Fine my date ditched me." You reply, sadly.
"What a jerk." Tara frowns.
"Yeah he is." You look down at your phone hoping for a text off him until you remember you blocked his number.
"At least Nate is taking you, you were saying he asked you right?" Tara gives you a smile, she was always so positive.
"No way!" Sam slams his fist on the table, you flinch a little.
"Calm down Sam, you'll be pleased to know it was Nate that ditched me, I'm not going to prom." You remark.
"Come with me and Tara." Sam laughed.
"Third wheeling?" You mocked.
"Call it me chaperoning you." Sam remarked.
"I love that idea." Tara beams. You can't say no to her. "Fine, I'll go." You sigh.
You finish up dinner and head into the Livingroom, Zack and Sam are outside talking, Tara comes and sits beside you.
"We should go dress shopping." She bounces on the spot.
"Okay, sure." You agree because if you don't she won't stop.
"I can't believe Nate ditched you, I thought he had changed." Tara commented sadly.
"Yeah, me too T." You replied Sadly.
"Let's make him regret not taking you to prom." She gives you a mischievous grin.
Before you can reply Sam and Zack return to join you. "Zack is gonna carpool with us." Sam replied casually.
"You're not riding with Taylor and Madison?" You ask.
"No." Zack replies abruptly
You all laugh and joke for the next few hours, everyone finally goes home.
