CHAPTER FIVE

It began to rain heavily at night and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie we're still asleep soon Mrs. Claudia started moaning and groaning on bed. She was restless and as a result she couldn't sleep. She just keep struggling on the bed and soon let out a painful cry.

Mr. Charlie soon woke up at the sound of her cry and was scared to see her in the position she was. Her legs was obviously wide open and she just kept making scribbles with her fixed nails on the bed.

"Claudia! What is it?" He asked trying to help and find out?

"My baby! my baby!" She kept on saying and then let out another painful cry.

Mr. Charlie knew there was something more to her restlessness and at the sound of her tone and words, it was definitely something connected to their unborn child.

"Charlie please do something! My hips is about to explode!"

Mrs. Claudia cried unto Charlie "oh my! She's in labour" Charlie thought "Baby please hold on a little while for me I'll go get the doctor on his way here"

Mr. Charlie ensured her as he kissed her on her forehead hastily and went to get the telephone that was hanging on the wall in their room.

Mr. Charlie tried contacting the doctor but it was of to no avail. He tried it several times but the doctor didn't pick.

"Charlie! The baby is out! The baby is out!" Mrs Claudia alerted as Mr. Charlie had no choice but to run back to Claudia, his pregnant wife.

Mr. Charlie squatted on the bed right before Claudia's widened legs.

He looked at the whole situation on the bed and find out that he is the only person Claudia is counting on to deliver this child safely.

He look confused and afraid at the sight of the baby coming forth.

With his little knowledge of child birth in school he simply tired out to be Claudia doctor.

"Baby please I'll just want you to do one thing right now" if you really want this child to live and come forth; Now push!" He said as Claudia struggled with all her woman power.

"Baby I'm trying!" She cried out "No you're not trying harder, now push harder!" He ordered

As Mrs. Claudia pushed once more letting out a very loud painful cry that could wake up the death from the Artic, finally relaxed again and a baby's cry was heard.

"i did it!" Claudia said smiling with joy. "Oh my God! It's a baby girl and she's as cute as you"

Mr. Charlie said smiling. He was overwhelmed with joy and happiness.

Mrs. Claudia joined him in the excitement and suddenly, her excitement began to wide off as soon as she sighted something.

She saw a little girl holding a teddy bear that she has seen once before somewhere.

The girl looked so weird and abnormal with her stitched mouth and black eyes.

"Charlie who is she?" She said pointing behind him "who is that?" Charlie said turning behind but couldn't see anyone he turn back to Claudia and said "Baby there's no one there"

"No! I saw her! She stood right there" said Mrs. Claudia scared and shivering

"I can assure you that there's no one the……"

He was about to say as the window close to him suddenly busted and glass broke into the house with force and it's sharp edges pierced Mr Charlie on his neck.

Soon the girl came behind him, pushed the blade further into Charlie's neck and it came out through the throat.

Mrs. Claudia screamed at the sight of that but that girl simply touched her mouth and eventually Claudia turned dumb.

She just kept struggling and kicking but couldn't move, It was as if she was stuck to the bed.

The girl simply dragged Claudia's new born child with one hand and was moving away.

Claudia screamed violently within herself but the words couldn't just come out.

She had lost her voice suddenly Claudia couldn't save her husband nor her child; then once again she let out another big scream and before you knew it she jerked up from the bed screaming

"My baby!" And suddenly she turned towards her side and met Charlie sleeping comfortably beside her;

She just began to cry out is a sudden and through it was still raining heavily. She touched her stomach and noticed that it was all a dream.

She still had her baby inside her won't and her dear husband wasn't dead.

She just kept crying because she was scared and it woke up Charlie.

"Claudia? Claudia?" He called "why are you crying and touching your stomach? Are you felling pains at all? " he asked but Claudia didn't respond.

She just hastily gripped him and said " I don't want you or our baby dead! I don't want it! I don't want it!"

She kept on saying and holding him tight. It all got Mr. Charlie confused and he decided to ask

"who wants me and our baby dead? Tell me who?" He asked desperately

"It's…..its...its a girl" Claudia replied "A girl?"

Mr Charlie asked in great shock and disbelief."yes! yes! She's ….. Argh!"

Mrs Claudia shrieked in pain as she got grip of the pendant which flashed green and was the cause of the pain she felt.

She simply removed the pendant and threw it away in fear and anger. She was in great shock and trauma.

"Calm down now! Calm down! It's just a nightmare! So calm down" Charlie tried receiving her of her fear "but Charlie it……" Claudia said "Believe me it's nothing close to reality!

And besides no little girl can harm me or our child that's very impossible; its just your imagination okey?" He said now able to relief her" "okey! I believe you" Claudia said still hiding some fears in her
