"I see," Frank rose suddenly and turned to the young female attendant who was standing placidly on the sidelines. "Annette," he said, "when Barbara has finished eating, take her up to the bath chamber. I'm sure-..she'd like to freshen up after her long ride from the city." Then turning to Barbara, "You're very fortunate that you came today. Brother Coretti, himself, is here, and I may be able to persuade him to meet with you before you leave."
Before she could voice her thanks, the extraordinary young man strode out the door. Mark Wentworth, he thought, hurrying down the hall. This may be just what Coretti's looking for!
