When men and women of the kingdom referred to the Reaches, they were really talking about only four of them—Northerlands, Southerlands, Westerlands, and Easterlands—though there were actually five. Six, depending on who you asked, though most didn’t consider the Wastelands to be anything but what the name suggested. And if you were a Southerlander, you might refer to that same sixth Reach as “our land stolen by the craven ratsbane,” which was also not inaccurate.
