The Warwick Throne
Gwyn found Khallum standing on what he liked to call The Warwick Throne. The Southerlands were known for their jagged, rocky cliffs, but most of Warwicktown sat at sea level. Farther inland, or even down the shore, the rise in elevation made mining their most lucrative asset, but Warwicktown looked more like a shore side hamlet where the very wealthy took residence in the cold season. His grandfather had rebuilt their keep here because he said one needed to be close enough for the salt to settle in their chest and demand residency. Khallum’s father had moved the keep further inland, but when he died, Khallum moved it back to Warwicktown, drawing on the same reasons as his grandfather.
