Lady of Whispers, Lady of Shadows
Duncarrow was the name of the island, not the castle. Most used the name to describe both the small island and the keep housing the Rhiagain family interchangeably, but the formal name for the keep, which had been abandoned until the interlopers washed up upon its shore, was Whitesea. Most didn’t know, or had forgotten, this. They struggled to recall a history where the word Duncarrow existed nowhere within their known world until Carrow Rhiagain arrived and changed everything with his tall tales of gods and other worlds.
Whitesea once belonged to the Easterlands, but most forgot this, as well.
