The door to my room opened and Ash entered with his head bowed. When I stood from the bed, he bowed low to me in respect. Before I could question it, he raised his head with a smile.
"I am here to serve great one." I blinked at his words and he smiled wide.
"Great one?" He nodded and handed me a book I had not seen him holding.
"This was found in a secret spot after your power pulsed through the palace. It is for you. The demon has been expelled to where he belongs. We are ready to serve you." I looked down at the book that looked like a leather journal with a symbol etched onto the cover. "It is protected so that only you may read its contents. We have spent a long time without you. It is good to have our creator back." I looked up in shock and back down at the book. It felt familiar.
