It was now five days since we had fled Montana, almost eighteen hundred kilometres since we had thrown ourselves into this hazardous adventure. Finally, we were almost there. After leaving Faro, we headed into the Yukon wilderness. It was the first time in my life that I had spent so much time in my human body without changing. It hadn't been too unpleasant, but regaining the power of my she-wolf's muscles, agility and speed was exhilarating. We were running along the Pelly River, which was supposed to lead us to our destination. I was pretty sure that our pursuers had given up. Now we were too close to Isaac's pack territory not to be seen as a provocation. My paws were hitting the ground at a frantic pace. I had regained my strength, the only traces of the harsh treatment I had received
