The Idea of a Lifetime

SELENA'S POV

I had the most brilliant idea come to me in the middle of the night. I know how my brother can be with his mate! He will be so happy! I was moping all day because Micheal couldn't be happy and now I've figured it out!

I sprung from the bed and threw on my robe. I basically ran to the elevator and rode it to the 8th floor. I tripped over my robe when I was running to my brother's room. I knocked loudly to let him know I was there and then pushed the door open so hard that I could've come off it's hinges. I was standing in his doorway and he wasn't having it.

"Selena, what the f**k is going on?!" He said in an annoyed and worried tone.

I walked over as calmly as possible and sat on the edge of his bed. I took a deep breath and spoke in a hushed tone.

"I have the idea of a lifetime!" I whisper yelled.

He looked at me like I was crazy but nodded for me to continue.

"You and Henry could combine your packs to make one giant pack."

I let that sink in for a second and continue.

"You know damn well that the Pearl Moon Pack, as great as it is, has it's problems. The house is falling apart. The pack is growing everyday and there isn't enough land for everyone. Many other packs pick on them because there aren't many trained warriors. Just to name a few."

He opened his mouth to argue with me but decided I was right.

"Henry's pack live in a completely different area but they have more space, more money, more trained warriors. They could teach your pack a few things." I stand up and forget to whisper. "The two packs could combine and become the Duoalpha Pack or the Pearl Mountain Pack! Names aren't really important right now. What's important is that, this idea will fulfill your duty to your pack and to yourself. You could make the pack better and give them more security while getting your happiness!"

Micheal stands up and hugs me tightly.

"I knew my genius sister would think of something."

I hear him sniffle and pat his back while he cries happy tears into the crook of my neck. He doesn't normally cry. My twin brother is normally so strong for everybody else around him and now I'm being strong for him.

MICHAEL'S POV

I lifted my head from my twin's shoulder and wiped away the snot and tears. I glanced at the doorway behind her and saw a few pack members gathered including our parents, Alexandria's parents, Henry, my Beta and Gamma, and two other Betas and Gammas. I clear my throat.

*ahem* "How much did you see and hear?"

Selena slowly turns around with her face beet red.

"Hey, guys..."

Alexandria steps towards her, clearly tired and annoyed.

"Do you realize what time it is? It's 2:00 in the morning!! Why couldn't this wait until a reasonable time?!"

She pinched the bridge of her nose and apologized as soon as she saw Selena's sad expression. She then looked at me.

"If you want to explore this idea, I will help you and Henry with it at 10:00 am. No earlier. I can help draw up the paperwork and pay for the moving fees. I will even have some of my pack members assist with anything needed to make this happen. I think it's a fantastic idea and can help both packs. But, I am extremely tired and would like to go back to sleep." She turns to the others at the doorway and dismisses the ones in her pack.

"Go back to sleep. We'll reconvene later."

They hesitated so she used her booming alpha voice.

"I said...GO BACK TO SLEEP!!!"

They scrambled and one of them even tripped. I laughed so hard and she chuckled while grabbing Selena and exiting the room.

"Goodnight, guys. Alexandria is right. We should all get some sleep." I gave my worried mom and kiss on the forehead and whispered in her ear.

"I love you, Mom, but you need sleep. You can join in the meeting later if you want." I smiled and they went back to their rooms. All except for Henry.

He walked in the room, shut the door and climbed into bed with me. He could tell I needed him. I cuddled with him and quickly fell asleep.

I woke up to Henry kissing my jaw. When I opened my eyes, I saw him in just his boxers looking like he just showered.

"Rise and shine, handsome." He said in a sing-song tone.

Oh how I love his deep, voice. It makes me go weak in the knees. He shoots me a million dollar smile when he sees me staring. I smash my lips against his and we have a passionate make out session until I sit up and pull off my shirt.

"Whew, that perfect abdomen!" He ran a hand down my abs. He licked his lips and I groaned.

"Ugh, I wish we just stay in here all day and make passionate love to each other, but I have to shower and we have to go to the meeting."

Henry flopped back on the bed and pouted. I kissed him and hopped up, stripping on my way to the attached bathroom.

I was only in the shower for five minutes before he came in and leaned against the sink.

"May I help you?" I raised an eyebrow even though he couldn't see me.

"I need to borrow some clothes. Do you have sweatpants I can borrow? I won't fit your jeans they would be too short."

*scoffs* "Only by a few inches!"

He laughed and that made butterflies flutter in my stomach. What I wouldn't give to spend all day in bed with him.

He lingered in there just talking to me for the next ten minutes and when the water turned off, he handed me my towel and exited the bathroom. I walked out with a towel around my waist and saw the lust in his eyes when I walked across the room to the dresser. I pulled out gray sweats and a black t-shirt for him. Then, I pulled out black skinny jeans and a Nirvana t-shirt and boxers for me. I made sure he was getting dressed at the same time I was.

Once we were dressed, we headed to the elevator and pushed the button for the 9th floor. We went straight to Alexandria's office. Henry was about to open the door when I put my arm in front of him, telling him to wait. I could hear arguing coming from inside.
