LUCAS’ POV
I picked up the phone without looking away from the document I was going over.
“Natalie.”
“Yes, Mr. King.”
“Has Alex confirmed?”
“He called about five minutes ago. He should be here in about thirty minutes.”
“Have you informed Emily?”
“Yes I have.”
“Good.”
I ended the call and placed the receiver back down.
I turned my seat around to look outside the tall windows and clear blue sky. I didn’t even realize when the thoughts of Natalie crept in. We had a few not so casual moments the day before and I didn’t know how to react to it. But I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
A knock interrupted my thoughts. I turned my chair back around to see Emily stepping inside.
“Mr. Alex is here.”
“Send him in.”
