As the both step out to leave, the encounter Crystal who was looking ready to go out too. “ Are you coming to work today? As far as I remember, it's your day off” questions Harrison with curiosity. “ Morning, Harrison. And yes I'll be joining you guys at the office today. The thought of staying at home after last night incident kills me” Crystal said putting up a serious but weak and tired face. “ How about you Carmilla? Are you coming to work too?.... Or are you scared?”, she questions her. Carmilla smiles. “ I don't feel scared anymore. Your brother here insisted I join him at the office today” said Carmilla as she smiles sofly looking at Harrison. “ Oh, really?” Crystal ask, her eyes staring at them. She had never seen them this close before. They always looked professional in family's eyes. Harrison chuckles observing her naughty behavior. “ Let get going, we don't want to be late” he suggested. Heading downstairs, they ran into their dad whom they saw coming out of the guest room. Crystal's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she stops her dad with her questions, “ Dad, did you sleep in the guest room? You and mom got into another argument right?” . Arthur didn't directly answer her questions, instead he just gave them a bright look and said, “ We are adult , we can handle anything that comes out way. You all should just be careful out there, if it possible Harrison get more bodyguards for your protection”. The three of them exchanged a concern glance but their dad just shook his head and headed upstairs. “ Greet mom for us” they all shouted heading to the foyer. “ Why are you taking a different car today? You always ride with me when we leave together” asked Harrison as he notices Crystal walking towards a different car to use. Crystal smiles mischievously, with disbelief that her brother could suggest such an idea when he's leaving with his wife. “ Are you trying to rub it on my face because you are married. Or you don't seem understand what ‘ giving your elders their privacy’ means”. Harrison surprise by what his sister said suddenly turns red, feeling a bit shy. “ Stop teasing us, you can have the car you want”, said Carmilla. Crystal winks at her and headed to the vehicle of her choice ‘ it's an SUV’, leaving Harrison and Carmilla to follow her behind. ****** Minutes later, they arrived at the office. They were greeted and escorted by the bodyguards who were waiting for their arrival as usual. Escorting them into the building, Crystal made her way to her own department leaving Harrison and Carmilla behind. “ Carmilla do you want anything for breakfast?” Harrison ask Carmilla trying to settle in his office while she was busy admiring the modern decor of the office. “ Anything will be fine” she answered snapping out from her thought. “ Anything?” He asks again, as if hoping for her to be specific. “ Hmmm… I think I'd love some pancakes with fresh fruit and a cup of coffee” she answered after thinking for a while. Harrison smiles and pulls out his phone from his pocket. “ I'll get that ordered for us” said Harrison, dailing the familiar number. “ Good morning Harrison”, a voice came through the phone. “ Rachel, can you order breakfast for two? I'll get my usual omelette and fruit juice and some pancakes with fresh fruit and a cup of coffee” he requested. “ Absolutely sir. I'll have it delivered to your office right away” Harrison hungs up the phone and turns to Carmilla. “ Breakfast will be here shortly” he assures her. “ If you don't mind, I can walk you through our office so you could see what we do here” he suggested. Carmilla nods looking round the sleek and modern office space. “ It's beautiful in here, it reminds me of my own office”. Harrison smiles softly. “ I guess that's not a bad thing” he said helping her up and walking her out of his office. “ Let start with the marketing team” he said leading her towards their office. Reaching the office he opens the door. “ Everyone, I'd like you to meet my wife , Carmilla” he said pulling her into the office. The team members welcomed her warmly as they were all happy to see her. It been a month or more and the last they saw her was his wedding day. “ So, Carmilla, what do you think of LAN CORPORATION” Emily one of the team members ask as others continues to stare at the beauty of Carmilla. “ I haven't seen anything about it yet, but so far it's great. Especially the offices… it so convenient with the modern decor and the energy of everyone accomplishing their task”. Harrison chuckles, feeling glad that she was already vibing at the office. “ I'm glad you like it. We've worked hard to create a positive and productive work environment for our workers”. Everyone nodded in agreement. Just as the conversation was flowing smoothly, Harrison's phone rang. He glances at the screen and saw that it Rachel, his personal assistant. “ Excuse me for a moment” said Harrison, answering the phone. “ Yes Rachel. you can leave the order in my office, Thank you”. He quickly said leaving Rachel hanging with her words. Waiting for Harrison to finish with his words, she replied. Her words changes Harrison's expression as he listened intently. “ I see” he said finally. “ I'll be right there”. Harrison hungs up the phone and turns to Carmilla. “ I'm sorry, but we need to head back to my office. My presence is needed”. Carmilla's eyes sparkles with curiosity but she gave off an understanding look. “ Of course, let's go”. Harrison excuses himself from the team, leading his wife back to his office. One could tell how tense the atmosphere was, which made Carmilla wonder what was going on. Harrison's phone kept ringing on his way but he decided not to answer it, instead he quickens his pace, his expression growing more curious by the moment. “ What could be so urgent that Rachel needed to see Harrison right away? And why is he so concerned?” Her curiosity became piqued.
