Rebellious Ex Alpha

1089 Words
Looking at my mate, I smirked darkly. There's no way he can get himself out of this without making it seem like he's greedy. As an Alpha, protecting his pack comes first, and that's why I made use of it to get him. Had I decided to pursue my mate in the normal mating way, I don't think he would have allowed me to do so. As a dominant Alpha, there's no way he'll willingly give up his position, and surrender to me. “I won't give up my title if there's no post for me.” “There is.” Going close to him, I put my hand on his shoulder, “you have the choice of being my servant.” “And you think I'll stoop so low as to be your servant?” I scoff. “It's either you do that, or you risk having your entire pack wiped out. Tell me Dess, how will you feel when your entire pack members get slaughtered, all because you care more about your pride than their life?” “They won't die, I'll defeat you.” He growled in anger. Like I thought, my strong headed mate can never be one who's easily tamed. Should I succeed in getting him to surrender to me, I must make use of not only coercing means, but force. “I admire your courage, my dear, but that will lead you nowhere. Your bravery is nothing but a child's play. Look around,” I gesture towards the Alphas who're now under my rule. “I have more forces than you do, and moreover, there's no way for you to defeat them to talk more of me. It's either you decide to give your pack the freedom they deserve, or you let your pride override your decision. It's all yours, Dess.” Smirking at him, I watch his mind working to decide on the next plan of action to take. Currently, I don't have the strength to continue on with this talk. Should he waste more time trying to talk his way out of things, I might end up forcing him to decide, and that decision will be much more favourable to me. “I give up.” He said at last, hunching his shoulders, he looks as if the entire weight of the world got placed on his shoulders. Don't worry, love, I'll give your pack back to you when we're fully mated. Only then will I be confident you won't leave my side. Currently, you have to endure all this. “It wasn't so difficult, was it?” I smirk. “So what next?” He looked up in expectancy. “We merge our pack.” * * Dess's POV The Alpha of our pack moved into my residential building, taking my royal suit as his, while I was sent to one of the visiting rooms in my building. Teny had his title taken from him, and right now, he's in charge of training the newbies. A station that's by far better than the one I occupy right now, and that's to serve the new Alpha. I've not been allowed to leave this place, and for that reason, I had been cooped in the room, waiting for the first errand the Alpha might send me to. In a way, the restrictions of my movement within the house is productivity towards me. This way, my pack members will never be able to see me in such a humiliating position. They won't know how degraded their Alpha have become. They won't know the shame I am passing through. A knock on my door brought me back to the present. “Who's that?” I ask out of reflex. “You think you're still the Alpha of the pack?” A familiar voice scoffed in anger. I've not seen the person at the other end of the door, but am quite sure it's no other person but the Beta whom I had a problem with during the face off with the Alphas. “What…” Hastily rising from the bed, I walk to the door. “What do you want?” I frown at him. “You think I'll have any reason to be here if it's not urgent?” The Beta frowned at me. “Then why are you here? What are you doing in a place you won't be in if it's not an urgent matter?” I raise a brow at him. It's not a secret he hates me, and not surprising, the feeling is really mutual. I hate him more than he does me. Much more than he does me. I hate him to the extent I might throw him down the stairs if care's not taken. “The Alpha wants you in his study.” “My study, you mean?” “His study. It's no longer yours Dess. The study is now his.” “But not for long.” All I am waiting for is the perfect opportunity to overtake the new Alpha. But it'll have to wait. Presently, I need to be more than prepared before I decide to overtake the Alpha. I need to be more than prepared to do so. “Keep on with your dreams Dess, all I know if your presence is needed in jail studies. It'll do you good to be there.” “I've heard. Go and tell your Alpha, I'll be there when I am through with what I am doing.” I look at him in disinterest. “Are you questioning the authority of the Alpha? You dare not tell him when to answer his calls.” He growled in anger, looking ready to fight me head on. “And what will you do about that? Are you going to fight me?” I smile in challenge. “I might not be the Alpha now, but I know you're aware that once an Alpha, always an Alpha. You as a Beta can't take me head on.” I look on in challenge. “If you want to fight me, you can bring it on.” “I won't fight with you, Dess. You're a temptation waiting to he spooked.” “Go ahead, Beta, run back to your Alpha with your tail tucked between your legs. While you're at it, tell him I'll be in his study when I am through with what I am doing.” Banging the door in his face, I lean on the door.
