“It sounds like the best idea.” I nod, “it's the easy way out of this.”
“Take it, then, you made the right decision.” The defender smirked.
“But what do you gain from all this? Should you rule the pack, wouldn't it be the same as they did? You killed that Alphas and took over?”
“That's for us to worry about, and for you to keep shut over it. You go back to your pack, like the good Alpha you are, and we won't attack you. Our packs might even be friends if you want us to be.”
“It seems you've thought this out, haven't you?”
“You were meant to be killed. But speaking with you left another impression. We will keep you alive if you do as we asked.”
