*Flashback to my past*
I walked towards the tent. The Alpha asked us to assemble for a meeting with the higher-ups, and I need to be there in time.
“Watch out!” Hyn and his friends shoved me when they ran past me, and I almost fell to the floor.
It was an almost thing because the older Beta wedged my fall.
“Steady there.” His green eyes sparkled with mirth as he helped me to stand on my feet; however, he didn't let go of my waist after that. He held me tightly as if he were afraid to let me go.
“Uh, thanks.” I look down in embarrassment as I tried to calm my racing heart.
