Samika: 15 "Girl, stop staring so hard your eyes will pop out," my best friend and sister Akira Slaughter laughed in my ear before plopping down in the school desk to me. My eyes closed and an involuntary chuckle left my lips. Scrunching up my face,we finally made eye contact and the bastard had the nerve to actually smirk at me before diving head first back into Amina Dawson's blonde extensions. "I don't know why pay my w***e of a brother any attention Si, you know what it is with these stand in bitches don't even trip," Key said like it was nothing before stuffing another Twizzler between her glossed out lips. "Shut up Key you know Idgaf about none of that girl," the lie made its way off my tongue just as the warning bell rang. Satan slapped Amina's ass and finally removed himself from the door way and of course Amina's Cheshire smile raged from ear to ear. I managed to ignore her and her little background bitches the entirety of the 45 minute class period. When the bell finally rang Key and I began packing up for lunch when Lamar "Loc" Thomas approached my desk. "What's up Mik', Key," Loc tossed Akira a head nod before turning his attention back on me. Lamar and his crew are the only ones that have ever called me Mik' and I thought it was cute. Loc had just turned 18 and was a Senior. He was at least 6 foot and looked almost as big as Satan in the muscle department but besides the golds, tats and muscles the girls really loved his deep green eyes. I can admit it the deep mossy green of his eyes against his coal black skin was kind of mesmerizing. "Hey Lamar, what's up," I tossed him a smile as I forced my iPad back into its carrier. "I was wondering if I could give you a lift home today? Key too, I noticed how y'all move." The question slightly caught me off guard for a minute and my eyes instantly switched to Key, what do I do? I've never been faced with this situation before. Ever since I got here freshman year nobody has ever really approached me. Well a few tried but there was always one of the boys there in my business. Now it was just Me, Key, Lamar and his cousin in this empty class room and I didn't know what to say. The goofy smile on Key's face said it all. "Yes, we'll meet y'all out by the buses after fourth period," Key answered for me, scribbling something on a piece of paper. "Call me,"Akira smiled tucking the piece of paper into the cousin's hand before snatching mineand yanking me from the room, back pack open. "I guess I'll see you after fourth period then, Angel."
