Chapter 15

1576 Words
Jason After work it took us an hour to finish packing. Well mostly me packing since Blaze was distracted by something. I think the reality of going home is distracting to him. I as well have been worked up about it, and my body feels like its starting to come down since we now have a clear path back home. 30 mins after I'm done packing and rechecking stuff, there is a knock at our door. I go to answer it since we are waiting for Abayomi's uncle to pick us up. When I open the door, a young man is standing there with a smile. I stretch my head out and look right and left before looking at him again. I clear my throat to ask him what he wants. "Hi, I'm Tsepo Musa." he says stretching his hand to shake. "My sister said you need a ride to Lagos." I nod my head and gesture for him to enter the room a little puzzled by his appearance. He looks young. When Ms. Musa said her brother will take us, I imagined someone older than her. "Ready to go?" He says as he walks through the door. "Yeah, We just need to take our things to the car." I say. He nods. I call Blaze and we load our things and are off on our 4 hour journey to Lagos airport. ***** I wake up to us still on the road. I fell asleep 2 hours in. No offence to Tsepo but he is slow driver. I thought we would be able to cut the hours since we going by small car. I shrug and look for water around the car. When I look to the back Blaze seems to be agitated. But when I ask how he is, he just says good. So I let it go. Tsepo as well says he's good and doesn't need relief with driving. I think on how I'm going to approach my situation at home. I cant just go back to the pack. I will need to find a way to communicate with my family without alerting the Alpha. Then plan for a way to see my mate. To look for anyway to be together. Because since we know about each other now. We wont be able to mate with other people. You can only be with your mate once you meet. Everything within you wants to be with that person. Once I get on South African soil, I will call my dad and tell him what's going on. He always seems to have a plan on how to make things better. The car speeds up a little and I look at Tsepo to see what's going on, since this car has been moving at one constant speed since we left the apartment. "I think we have a tail." he says watching his rear view while speeding past our exit point. "Hey you could have lost them by exiting to the airport." I shout at Tsepo showing him the sign which tell us where to exit if going going to the airport. "Too obviously, we will come back again to see if we lost our tail." Tsepo says and I'm confused. Can that even be right. I look to Blaze to see what he thinks on this, but he seems relaxed not troubled by this. I try to relax but something tell me something is wrong with what is happening now. To relax I keep searching for my water. "Can I have water please, I cant seem to find mine." Blaze gives me his water bottle, and I chug every single drop. "Don't you think we should turn back now. If we truly had a tail they are gone now since we didn't go to the airport and we are the only car on the road now." I say looking at Tsepo to see what he will do. because I still think this makes no sense. He doesnt answer me and my panic starts. I need to get out of this car. I need to get home. I turn to see if Blaze is realizing what is happening. He smiles at me, and I start to see double. I try to reach for the door handle to force him to stop the car, but my body wont move right. "What is happening? Why cant I move. Blaze what is going on." He shrugs and looks down. Goddess this is not happening again. I'm being kidnapped again by someone I was trying to help. Serves me right for being helpful to others. I watch this time as after another 1 of driving they take a dirt road to that is has too many turns and forks on the road for my brain to follow now. We make it to what looks like an abandoned building with people milling around. When the car stops both Blaze and Tsepo get out of the car and go to the front steps. Two guys come out of the building to greet my two kidnappers. They stand around talking for a while and in the mean time I try to test if I can move my body around, since this time, whatever they made me drink didn't knock me out. I wiggle my fingers and nothing happens. I keep trying, because nothing happens if you don't try. After the third time of me wiggling my fingers they move a little and a knock comes from my window. Startled I turn to look at the biggest guy who came out of the house giving me a big smile through the window. Is smiling their thing. Because Tsepo was smiling as well when he came to our apartment. He opens my door for me. "You can come out. No one would dare to hurt you here." He says in a big burly voice. I look at him and my eyebrows goes up in a really gesture. Because I am drugged not to move and all that. He leans back and laughs a little, throwing his head back. "Tristan, bring the anti-freeze." "Yes sir." That voice. I quickly look to where they were talking before because I swear that was Blaze answering to the name Tristan. When I look, I only see the back of him disappearing inside the building. What in goddess's name is going on here. He comes back with a vial which he gives the guy still at the side of the open car door. "I'm sorry I lied to you, but I will explain myself soon. Please drink this it will unfreeze your body to move again." Blaze or Tristan or whatever his name is says to me. "Not like I have a choice is it." I say with a little bite in my voice. I look to the big guy. He has a dark skin tone, shaved head and a little scar on his right eye. The scar moves above his eye, making me wonder how he got it. He steps aside to let Blaze give me the vial of red liquid to drink. After 2 mins of just watching men come in and out of the building my body goes back to normal and I climb out of the car. No sense in sitting there anymore. Once out I look around the place, see only trees grass and the building up ahead. When my eyes connect with Blaze while I'm still looking around, I glare at him and he has the decency to look down in shame. "So what's going to happen now. Because I warn you now, I will escape and make my way home." I say to the big guy looking him in the eye. I'm getting tired of always being kidnapped. Everytime I take a step forward, I'm being brought back to where I started and it's starting to tick me off. The big guy just smiles at me. Maybe he has mental problems. I look at Blaze when no-one else answers me. "Come we can speak inside." I follow them inside the building and am surprised by how amazing it is on the inside. They lead me to what looks like a war room and Blaze shows me to the chair at the head of the table for me to sit. The big guy sits to my immediate right, then the other one he came out of the building with sits next to him, and Blaze sits next to that guy, but Tsepo does not sit. He keeps standing and goes near the wall to stand there. Big guy clears his throat once we are all sited. "Alright, let us introduce ourselves first." He says to me looking serious now the smile gone. "We are the Royal Guard. We are the ones tasked with protecting the Royal families. I am General Sifiso Mthembu, to my right is Captain Charles Sono, and beside him is Sergeant Tristan Mbebe, and the one on the wall is Private First Class Tsepo Musa." Big guy said. "Dismissed Private." he says to Tsepo who leaves us after that. "Okay that's nice for you, but what has that got to do with me?" I asked a little pissed I cant make my way home yet because of imaginary royals. "We have sworn to protect you and that is what we are going to do." he says bowing his head a little to me.
