Chapter 30 LUKE AND I WERE TRAVERSING the narrow alley that provided a shortcut between the front parking area and Ruth’s residence when they struck. One moment, we jogged along in perfect unison, bound hands swinging counterpoint to the synchronized beat of our footsteps.
