Diane pants weakly. She's been walking blindly to wherever Sebyl had pushed her after telling her to run.
She could still remember it.
That sudden sense of danger when he immediately pushed her inside and then quickly closing the door after.
It made her feel vulnerable, weak, and useless.
Gritting her teeth, she did as what he told her. Deep inside, she knew that she doesn't know what to do if ever she stayed and tried to 'fight'. With her current strength and blocked senses, she's just like a fawn in front of wolves.
As time went by and various tunnels she randomly chose to walk in. Diane can finally be at ease as she smells the faint scent of grass.
Her unblocked senses earlier were just temporary. It was after some time that she's going back to her senses being blocked. Like it was a dream that was suddenly given and then reality slapped you in the face telling you that it's just temporary. A dream that was so short but it was bliss from heaven.
Fatigue, confusion, fear, and anger. Those are the various emotions that play inside her.
Fatigue due to her body and mind not being able to rest, confusion, and fear playing inside her because it felt surrealistic. Along with her sudden 'miraculous' healing until it's now coming back to being blocked like she's being played like a toy. And anger because of everything that happened within a short span of being kidn*pped.
Despite not knowing how she was kidn*pped and to how many days had been since she was kidn*pped, all she knows now is that she can't trust anyone.
She felt betrayed by everyone she knew. Like everything that they've been through was all fake.
She couldn't trust any of them now.
She was kidn*pped and one of them must've planned it. Now she knew why they took her, somehow it relates to her blood. Those twisted people said that she has a very high level of mana within her blood. They believe that she's not even human.
'He should've probably have known this from the beginning.' She thought.
Indicating Theo who is her brother. The caring and loving brother that she knew and cherished... now tainted as a liar and manipulative.
'Are you sure?' Her conscience asks her.
Diane could now somewhat understand why he would lie to her and manipulate her in drinking the potion that their father had made for her to drink. But to what she couldn't understand is the reason why Theo had to keep the truth from her all those years when he could've told her the truth.
'And they were probably in this too.' She concludes. Indicating to the rest of the three; Arcana, Cecil, and Sebyl.
'What makes you think that?' Her conscience again asks.
They knew the truth and so one of them might be the one who planned to get her kidn*pped since they knew that Theo won't be by her side for a week.
She remembers that it was Sebyl who got her out of the horrid building. This made her even more upset.
'He was just probably helping me since Theo might be back.' She mused. 'That they're afraid of him that's why Sebyl volunteered to get me out and then pushed me to escape all alone.'
'That's ridiculous.' Her other self denies.
What she had speculated just made her bitter. To the point that she now hayes hates herself even more.
Biting her lip in frustration, she blinks her eyelids rapidly to not let the tears out from their sac. Even clenching her fists tight, her untrimmed nails dig into her skin. Stinging her with a pain that felt minuscule but it's maybe to her now getting numb senses.
Despite her speculations are all over the place and that they are just theories without solid proof, it slightly consoles her.
Since she doesn't know the whole truth, she could only turn to speculation from her gathered information. Making it as her knowledge to not trust them unless they explain their side.
Realizing now that she was so naïve, that she trusted quite easily and too much to the point of being backstabbed too easily.
"Idiot." She said. Her tears roll down her cheeks despite her wanting to not cry. "Ugh! Stop crying!" She exclaims.
She wipes her tears harshly for it to stop. Unfortunately, it didn't.
Diane, in her grief and anger, fell down. Her legs giving up. Neither felt fortunate that she's already been walking outside the dark tunnel. It's partially because of her fatigue and to her internal dialogue full of conspiracies.
"Why are you such an i***t!?" She asks, her voice laced with bitterness.
Diane feels her heart stuffy, stuffy it hurts her to an unknown pain. She doesn't even understand this kind of emotion. It was the first time that she felt it.
It's not anger nor fear. It's more than that. Maybe because she's disappointed to herself to the point of she's angry at herself and to the people she knew and trusted. That her fear in knowing the truth, fear of the unknown events that will happen, fear in taking another step forward.
The intense hostility towards herself and to her trusted people mixed in with the fear of the future to the point of wanting to turn away from it.
As the pained girl who's now crouched down the ground, screaming out her heartache and crying, wailing aloud. A pair of black eyes watch her from a distance. Clenching his fists and trying to swallow the lump that formed in his throat.
He watched her from the moment she fell down the ground and started crying. A weak girl with dirtied feet and white dress. She came out of the suspicious tunnel that they were about to investigate.
He didn't have the courage to move and help her at the moment. He knew that she's not in the right mind that's why he had let her.
And it's been a few minutes since she wailed loudly. The odd thing is, he understands her. The grief, anger, fear, and hatred that she had been morphing out from her emotions had also struck him. Deeply.
"Bro, where are you?" The voice that he knew pulled him out from his trance.
Their telepathy can now be used through their family bond.
'I'm coming.' He said. Silently walking forward.
"What were you doing?"
'Nothing. Looking around.'
"Well hurry up dude because I'm starving. I bought our favorites!" The voice whines making him roll his eyes.
'Make sure to leave a small portion of each for our visitor.' He instructs.
"Wait... we have a visitor?"
'We have now.' He quickly dismissed their conversation.
"I need a thorough explanation once you get back! Ya hear? Tho-rough." The voice demands.
'Jasper, shut up.'
"Alright, alright! Sheesh!" Jasper said. "You know what dude? Sometimes you're like a woman in her period. You're such a mood."
'Jasper!'
