Lilith’s reaction had been so unexpected to Jared that I took him a second to actually understand what happened, but once he did, he answered her with the same passion she had showed him. He was as desperate to share himself with her as she was, but he knew she had no experience at all, so even if she seemed to be confident and complete sure, he knew he had to be careful with her; she was too precious and valuable to him, too important. If for any reason he lost her, he would prefer an eternal condemn than to keep living without even looking at her again. He knew he should stop, not only for the consequences it could bring them, but because she might feel guilty after, but he could not, he wanted her so badly the even knowing what he knew, he just wrapped his arms around her and returned the kiss even deeper.

Lilith did not understand why she had that reaction even knowing the risk it represented to him, but she could understand Jared even less. He was the one who had the most to lose, he was following a very dangerous path, and she was his guide. She knew she had to stop before it was too late, but just when she convinced herself of stepping back, she felt his arms around her holding her tight and his lips opening hers so he could deepen the kiss. From there on, there was no turning back.

She willingly opened her lips to allow him access, she could feel his tongue inviting her to give in so they could both turn into just one being, even if they were completely separate persons, separated by clothes and a curse, which only she had. The kiss lasted so long they both thought it had been an all night long kiss, but it was still dark outside, it was as if the emporium and time wished for them to be together; but as good as it was it finished, but it was not cut, they kept kissing softly without being able to completely end it. Between one of those small kisses, she looked at him in the eye, and felt terribly guilty, she knew she had to stop it, she tried to look away to convince herself to just step back, but it only resulted into and deeper kiss that the one before, and their hug his time fused their souls together softly and she felt it. If they shared their bodies and souls her worst fear would turn into reality.

Jared felt the same, but he did not care at all. If that was the price to pay for having her and join their lives, then be it.

The both cut the kiss at the same time and kept looking each other in the eye, Lilith’s eyes had turn a little red by tears but she was still as beautiful as she always was. He gave her a small smile full of love. Even if it was not his intention, that look in his eyes and the smile made her feel confident. She raised her hand to caress his cheek, she needed to feel him, to know he was real; Lilith felt suddenly guilty for accepting what he was offering her even knowing the price was too high, she knew she had to do the right thing and let him go, but she did not want to, not anymore, she wanted to be selfish and accept what he wanted to give her, but it was wrong.

-          Jared, please do not let me do this to you... – said Lilith with in a whisper, looking down – you deserve so much more.

He felt the conflict inside of her. He did not want her to feel guilty, so he put his index finger under her chin and rise her face to look at her in the eye. He could see desire, love and guilt there but he did not stop. He just went forward and kissed her again deeply. With that, Lilith got lost, every single fear dissolved, and everything was filled with love, passion and f*******n desire. Lilith locked his hands behind his neck and held to him as if her life depended on it, she kissed him even deeper and raised to the tips of her toes; she was so overwhelmed by everything that even in the most loving and happy moment tears ran down her face. She was so happy and felt so loved that she could not hold back her feeling anymore.

Her hands began travel a little down his shoulders, went under his black leather coat, and held to his shoulders. The kiss kept going on and getting deeper making both of them boil from inside out, but still there Lilith could separate for a moment to take a breath and really admire Jared, not as the loving being he had always showed her, but the man, the real man of flesh and bone in front of her. That man who was there for her, full of energy, heat, passion desire and love, the man she had dreamt on her entire life; the perfection on the soul and the perfect sin on the flesh. In summary, her darkest dream come true. Moreover, he was there in front of her willing to be hers and that made her mouth water. It was wrong and she knew it, nevertheless she refused to let him go now that she actually noticed everything, she wanted him.

-          Please my love – said Lilith holding to his shoulders with all the temptation of taking his jacked off – stop me.

-          Never... – Jared kissed her hard and deep for a second before cutting it – game over.

Lucy always liked to go to her library after having a nice meal and company, but this time there was something different. Her favourite room was still in perfect order, the soft fire was still on next to her old comfortable sofa and just as the last time, she was not able to feel anything out of place there. She had not been waiting for anyone to go to her home that night, much less to be an unexpected visit as when she gave the pin to Lilith for the first time. Everything felt right.

She took her white tea, her new book and sat next to the fire to relax and turn into one with the story she had between her hands, but she could not achieve her goal; just the moment she was about to begin with the first sentence of the prologue, she felt it. Someone had appeared inside her home, someone with a wonderful strength. Lucy got in guard as well as her inner demon, she was completely ready to fight and protect her home and her guest for whatever it was that had just appeared there; but then she received a message from that stranger.

-          Lady Lucy, excuse my inappropriate behaviour by entering your home without being invited. Nevertheless, it was a petition I could not reject, even if it meant entering your emporium without permission.

Lucy smiled, she had noticed the love in Jared´s voice, and it was an actual emergency to him, even if, for normal people it would not have been even an important issue. Thankfully, not everyone in her home were normal. Lucy could understand perfectly the reason of him being there and even without a reason; he would always be welcomed in her home. He was a very important person to her.

Lucy smiled to herself, love was a peculiar thing, which made people do things that were not at all like them but she could understand it perfectly, after all, she had paid the highest price for loving a person she was not able to love.

-          Be very welcome my dear boy, you have to need no explanation to enter my home, you are always allowed to come here no matter the reason.

With that, Lucy cut the mental communication with him.

Lilith threw herself at him and took his coat off while exploring his shoulders, which were only separated from her hands by a thin layer of black cotton. She felt the impulse to explore the body of the man in front of her, she could feel the heat coming out of his skin, and it was as warm and luminous as the sunshine itself.

She could feel deep inside her all her worries and fears trying to appear, but with a gentle caress of Jared’s hand on her hair and neck, they completely went away as fast as they appeared.

Kisses, caresses and pure love filled the room as they lost every piece of clothing they had on and got their bodies tangled as well as their souls made the perfect match with every contact of theirs. Heat began raising by the second.

She felt safe, and knew what she was doing was the right thing, even with all her worries, it felt right to share herself with the person who had made her feel so loved and cared as Jared did. She did not know why, but suddenly she had a strange impulse to talk; so she broke the kiss, looked deeply into his eyes and let words express what she felt inside her soul.

-          Jared, son of the sun, Prince of the light, I feel deep inside my heart, the love and devotion to you, for which I give all my might. In the shiniest day and the darkest night, my soul will keep your light and guide you through the blackest path. I give my heart, my blood and soul, from this day to all the centuries to come.

Lilith did not know why, but she had those words coming from her soul, it felt so right and at the same time it felt so weird, after all, she had never heard those word before. She opened her eyes, which she had not noticed had closed once she stopped talking, and looked up to Jared. His eyes had turned bright gold and she could notice tears had formed there, even she did not know the reason of them.

-          Jared, please... I am terribly sorry if I...

But he kissed her to stop her words just before cutting the connection to lose himself in her eyes and speak before she did again.

-          Lilith, daughter of the moon, princess of the night, I feel deep inside my heart the love and devotion to you, for which I will give all my might. In the darkest night and the shiniest day, my soul will keep you safe from every harm. I give my heart, my blood and soul, from this day to all the centuries to come.

And with that he kissed her in a way that filled her soul and his with incredible joy, love and passion. Fire returned to cover them both and show them the right path to go.

Jared hugged Lilith’s n***d body on the bed where they had consumed their love and their promise. She was sleeping, breathing softly with her head to his chest; for the first time ever, she felt incredibly safe and happy. Without any fear of her mother or any harm. Between the fog of sleep the words they both had pronounced appeared making her wake up slowly to the warm embrace of her lover.

-          My beloved, you are awake now – Jared said hoping she was not regretting what they did, especially because they had not just shared their bodies but their souls and lives.

-          My beloved Jared, you are really here, by my side – Lilith said with shinny eyes looking up at him – I knew this perfection could not be only a dream, it had to be real.

She recovered the events of the night before slowly, remembering every single kiss, sight, caress, word and sound. It had been sublime for both of them, but for her it had even more meaning, she had given everything to him her body, heart soul and mind; and she did not regret it. Suddenly she recalled the words she pronounced. It was some kind of vow or promise, she had not learnt it nor heard it before, but it came from the deepest love inside her heart.

Jared noticed how memories were returning to Lilith’s mind, her eyes became shinier and her lips curved in a little happy smile. She did not regret it, that was a good sign for Jared, but from one moment to the other she raised her eyes to his and he knew she recalled the words she gave him.

-          You regret saying what you did? – was the question that came from her lips.

It had been unexpected from him, taking in count she did not know the meaning of the vow they had just made.

-          Not at all my love, but actually I should be the one asking that question...

-          No! I do not regret it in the slightest, why would I?

-          Because you do not know what it really means, it might be too much for...

-          Then explain it to me, I do not know where those words came from, but I felt a bond after you answered me, a bond I am incredibly happy to accept...

-          I am honoured to be the one receiving your love, and I am completely happy, but that vow is one of eternal love. It is not like normal humans, they can separate eventually but once these words are pronounced it is an eternal bond.

-          Eternal? Like being married eternally? I would gladly accept that!

-          Mmm, not exactly. You can marry someone because it is convenient, but here you are now my lover and I am yours.

-          Really? That sounds even more romantic and f*******n.

-          Yes, but it is not. That means you are my soul mate and you will always be.

-          And you will always be my soul mate until the end of times.

Lilith did not let him reply by pulling him to her and kissing him deeply with all the love she had in her heart. Yes, she accepted being his forever and he accepted being hers forever too.

After some time, they both managed to get dressed, stop kissing every 2 seconds and going out of the room to meet Lucy. It was already very late in the morning, light was filling parts of the room by some windows she could not recall seeing during dinner, she was marvelled on how that place had changed just with the past of  a few hours, it was a new way of magical and beautiful. Lilith was drowned in every little detail until a soft voice caught her attention and Jared’s.

-          Good morning my dear guests. Lilith, Jared.

Lilith blushed deeply at the sound of Lucy’s voice.

With a smile Lucy showed them their sits one beside the other, Lilith was sitting in the same place she had the night before, and Jared was assigned next to her.

Once sit in the assigned spots, everyone was silent until, food was served. Lucy was about to make the invitation to the meal when she noticed something new on Lilith’s eyes.

-          My dear Lilith, would you mind please looking at me?

She looked up as if she had been told she had a cat on her head and looked Lucy directly in the eye.

Lucy smiled lovingly and sweetly.

-          You have the amber in your eyes my dear. I am incredibly happy for you both...

Jared could not believe what he heard, he took Lilith’s head and turned it softly to him. It was true, under those wonderful depths of silver he could see little sparkles with the golden colour of amber. It could not be happening.

-          What is going on? What amber are you talking about? – Lilith asked with concern.

-          My love, you have amber in your eyes – Jared answered – let me explain, once we said our vows we made an unbreakable bond, but it also shows the true nature of us. The fact that you have now amber in your eyes mean, you are a witch. And you are the one to complete the ancient prophecy.

Lilith was mute and in shock. A witch? A prophecy? What? She was the daughter of the moon and had just made a bond with the son of the sun, but that was too much. She could not process it easily. What was that supposed to mean?

Jared saw all the emotions inside Lilith’s heart and her mind going crazy with all she had just discovered. So he maintained the silence for her to get her thoughts back together, but it was not easy. After a little while, she seemed to have composed but before Jared could talk, she did.

-          Ok,  this is too hard to understand and I must admit this is freaking me out, but I need to know; what are you talking about? And please I need details, this is too hard to understand for me and even worst to process.

Lucy and Jared expected any reaction except for that one. She seemed to be calm, impartial and willing to hear the background of this story. Lucy looked at Jared who nodded in response to the unsaid question, then she began.

-          My dear girl... Lilith, sorry... there is a legend where a witch born of darkness and bonded to light would come and will be able to break the most destructive spells and curses which had been made with the intentions of hurting and breaking. We... well, I thought it was just that, a legend, but now looking at you, seeing inside your eyes, I can see it was no story but a person to come. To actually exist.

-          But... how do you know it is me? – Lilith asked with a trembling voice.

-          Because my dear, your eyes which you inherited from darkness...

-          My mother? She is darkness?...

-          Yes, she rules night so she came from darkness. Back to the topic, the eyes you inherited from darkness are now sparkled with amber. Light and the sun are normally represented by gold, but our stone is amber. You are bonded to me, to light. – Jared said explaining what Lucy had started.

-          Ok, I get it... but I am no witch that I know of.

-          I am not so sure of that. You have any kind of ability?

-          Ability? I do not think so, I have my intuition and I know when someone is not being honest to me. But I do not think those are actual magical gifts right? Those are just common things.

-          Lilith, why you did not tell me that? Those are not common abilities at all. Tell me, had ever your instinct or intuition failed you? Even in the slightest way?

-          No, never... b...but everyone has an instinct, and every woman has intuition right? So why would I be so different?...

-          Because not every woman has it, even if it is thought to be otherwise, only the descendants of witches have it strong enough like to feel it, and only to witches it never fails.

-          Are you saying I am a witch? Jared, are you sure?

-          Yes, I am sure my love... an. ..

-          And yes, you are a witch – Lucy interrupted – and you are one of the most powerful ever if you are who we think you are.

-          How can you know I am? Is there any possibility for you to prove it?

-          Only time will tell, but the amber shining in your grey eyes are the proof that you come from the dark magic and you just bonded to light when you said those vows.

-          That is another question, it felt so right to say those words even if I do not know what they mean, it sounded like a strong bond but...

-          They sound the way because they are, those words mean your souls are now one.

-          Like some kind of engagement?

-          Like we would not be able to live without the other – Jared said – but yes, it is like a spiritual engagement.

Lilith suddenly went pale. the curse. If their souls were now one it meant the curse was now on Jared’s heart again, how could she had been so irresponsible! Now he could be tracked too,  and that meant he could also be hurt by her enemies.

He noticed her change, her eyes had turned sorrowful and sad, he took he chin and made her look at him, then he knew. The curse. She was worried about him getting that cursed onyx on him, even if she was the one discovering news to change her whole existence, she was hiking on him first.

-          Lilith, do not worry about me, nothing will happen. Actually nothing really happened in the way you think but on the contrary my love. Feel your heart and discover the curse is now gone.

Lilith’s eyes widened in pure surprise, it was true she did not feel that desperation and fear anymore but she had not dare to think about it. It felt wrong to assume it had gone.

-          But how?... how is that possible?...

-          I am not sure about it but this morning that course was non existent.

No one had noticed Odette was now in the room and had heard the last part of the conversation.

-          I can answer to the question you all have no answer for, the curse was broken by your own being Lilith, you are the witch of the prophecy, so, the moment your true self came forward the curse destroying you was broken.

Everyone looked at Odette with surprise. They could not get to that conclusion, but she was able to. The reason unknown yet, but she had known it. Lucy was about to ask about it when a strange sound cut the ambience, it was a ring.

Lilith heard the sound and recognised it easily, it was her phone ringing; just then she realised that even if that sound was so familiar  it at the same time felt so strange as if it had not rang for years now. She picked it up.

-          Lilith?... Lilith, oh dear Lord!... finally you picked up...

-          Martha?! What happened?... why are you so agitated?

-          What is wrong with you? Tomorrow MONDAY we begin classes and you have not picked your schedule yet!

Lilith went pale, how could have she forgotten about it, and even better how has time went so fast! She was not sure about what was going out but Martha’s concern was legitimate, she had to go that fixed and fast!

-          Are you kidding me! I lost track of time, thanks for the reminder – she said, it was one of those few times Martha was her friend and helped her – I will get that sorted out as soon as possible.

-          I hope so! This semester we have a lot of new teachers! So move if you do not want to be locked with all new, but there is already one subject that is just with a new one, if I do not remember badly her name is Vanessa something, and is for our subject of composition and aesthetics I think.

-          A no option then. I will pick it in a few hours, see you in classes tomorrow... bye!

She hung up before her friend on the other side of the line could reply. Not only because of her concern about university, but because the name of Vanessa sent a cold bad feeling through her spine, whoever that woman was had nothing good to offer, but was going to be her teacher so, she better shook that fear away. Jared interrupted her thoughts.

-          What is wrong my love?

-          Oh, nothing too important my dear, but at the same time,  something that can be hypothetically of live or death. I forgot to pick my university schedule,  and someway it is Sunday and tomorrow classes begin!

Lucy laughed hard, she could not hold back. Time in her emporium did not go as it did outside, but she could not remember if she mentioned it or not. But there was still a little time for them to eat and then Lilith could go back to her normal life.

-          I am sorry, I think I forgot to mention the issue about time in here, but anyway, there is still some time to eat and for you to go back to college. But you must hurry.

With that, the conversation was over and everyone ate and got ready to go back to their common lives.
