Arielle’s POV The warehouse was smelling of blood, smoke, and rusted metal. My lungs was burning as I took every breath. Viktor kept his hand locked around my wrist as he dragged me through the chaos, his body was shielding mine while bullets were ripping through the darkness behind us. Men were shouting over each other as gunfire kept echoing from every direction, metal containers were screeching so loudly as people were crashing against themselves. “Keep moving,” Viktor barked in a rough voice without looking back as I was about stumbling again. The gunshot Alora fired was still ringing inside my ears that for one horrifying second back there, I thought she had shot me but the bullet had buried itself into the shoulder of one of Viktor’s men the moment he tried sneaking behind her.
