Arielle’s POV
The room was becoming unbearably still after the guard’s words. I could feel my heartbeat slow unnaturally, like my body was trying to protect itself from the meaning behind that sentence.
Viktor’s expression was revealing nothing but the silence surrounding him was feeling dangerous enough to suffocate the entire room.
“Where is Daniel now?” Viktor asked quietly.
“He is in the main hall.” The gaurd answered.
“Did you search him?.” He asked again.
“ Yea, we already did but found no weapons in him.” The gaurd clarified.
“Do not let him move till I get there.” Viktor ordered tightening his jaw slightly.
The guard nodded and disappeared immediately.
